Wouldnt touch Shaw until he starts stringing two good games together like Gilbee did.

Imagine if you had Gilbeee, Shaw and Mcleod in your backline the last month or so? What a fricken nightmare! LOL!

Had them all and got them all when they were cheap
they all did ok this week though

I missed the Gilbee trade.

Was going to bring him in for Cornes about 3 weeks ago, but then it looked liked Cornes was going to keep playing.

I have Mattner aswell, has been great for his starting price.

If you want to be risky and want the chance for a high score return then go H.Shaw, if you want consistancy then go with Goddard or Mattner.

I would go Heath, Goddard and Mattner in that order. Mainly because Heath and Goddard are both capable of big scores, but Heath plays in a better team and will likely have more to play for come the end of the season.

Very strange that Shaw's poor games have all come against average sides ...

Rd 5 - 28 vs Roo's
Rd 8 - 45 vs Saints
Rd 10 - 31 vs Eagles
Rd 11 - 78 vs Melbourne
Rd 12 - 31 vs Carlton

i'm thinking maybe bringing him in for the Chad this week... the chad is only heading south, and if shaw can keep his form he'll be a great pickup

Most obvious trade of the week will be Cornes ---> Shaw

However I am willing to play 1 short this week and wait and see.

Reasons:

1. Chad can't drop any more since he has been dropped
2. Shaw is playing Sydney and as we know nobody scores that well against them.
3. Even if Shaw scores really well he is only likley to jump 20k or so
4. Wait and see if Shaw can string two good games together

i think I may do the same... going to upgrade palmer to boomer instead...

as long as bradshaw plays I'll still have a full backline...

If true that would cap a truly horrific year for my backs.
