Thanks mate, how's Huntly's ground looking, it can get a bit rough in parts.

Is Huntly's big ground an advantage for Colbo concidering Colbo play on a big ground every 2nd game opposed to Heathcote that play on a smaller ground every 2nd week?
I would imagine Colbo would be more conditioned to run all game than Heathcote, if i recall last years granny at Huntly, Heathcote ran out of puff in last quarter yeah?

Think Heathcote may have a bit more trouble with the full ground press/zone this weekend on a bigger ground like they did successfully at LBU a few weeks back. Interesting to see how this game plays out, and will go out on a limb and say whoever wins the midfield and clearances will win the game ;)

I am going for colbo by 22 points

Im hoping for a draw as I aint got much on next weekend at this stage :D

This ploy worked well at Elmore I thought, the Saints spread really well and protected space more than direct opponents. They didnt allow the Hopper's runners to get outside and several of Colbo's more noted corridor players didn't demand the footy enough in the middle when it presented at crucial times.

In saying that much bigger ground so it wont be an issue, gunna b hot and the fitter, more physcially prepared side will prevail as there will be some risks taken on injured players from both camps, so will be interesting to see who gets thru and who dont.

Im sure the Saints have become more than a one trick pony after last year's defeat and Im tipping if the Saints lead by 4 goals tomorrow at half time they wont F**k it up this time . . . . in fact can I back whoever leads at half time :D

Again though a draw would be preferred and get me outa the house again next Satdy :thumbsu:

I see reading Central Vic footy that Heathcote have injury clouds. That will be the excuse i'd say this time when Colbo win. Im tipping Colbo by 35pts, I was wrong with Calivil though so maybe Heathcote may harden up and win the big one without excuse:D

Getting injuries at this time of year is pretty hard on any team. Could easily go either way, but I reckon Colbo over Heathcote. in a tight one, 11 points.

In the scoobs, I think Locky will come up short, Colbo by 37 points.

In the Thirds, Locky are a formidable opponent. As much as I'd love the Elmore 3's to win, I think Locky will be too good on the day and win easily. 47 points.

I'm backing Hcote to win with a kick in the dying minutes. Weeks to play a blinder and Lech to dominate across half forward in the second half. While the running players will be important I think the CHF and lead up forward will provide the difference late in the game as they will see more space open up for them throughout the game.

In the scoobs I think LBU will get up by 3 goals with the 2 Martins, Randall and Mitchell providing great hardness and contested footy.

17s, I think LBU will win by 40 points

colbo by 3 points in the big one
colbo by 1 in a thriller in the 2s, and locky to thump elmore in the 17s by 87points

Werent u meant to be at work at 9.02 footy or did u clock off early?

All the best to Heathcote even though I did take the evens Colbo a couple of weeks ago.

Havent seen Red White and Black on the thread for a while.

Have they clipped your Halo?

You could probably still get evens tomorrow at the footy Trotty if you're heading up...much more enticing than the 1.85 currently on offer with Sportsbet!;)

Meldrum showed his football/coaching ability and nous in last years grand final by being ordinary in the first half(although they lead by 4 goals) then moving himself out of the ruck and putting lech in the ruck after being the main factor for their 4 goal lead from centre half forward. They may have got beaten anyway due to Colbos great running players such as Cheezel Johnson and Patty OBrien who I reckon is the best on baller in our league(runs both ways)
Despite Meldrum Heathcote must be still a big chance considering their injuries and disappointment/motivation from last year when maybe they shoul;d have won

Well Wasp, Bumble Bee, Jerk, or whatever your pseudonom may be- get over it!!
