This could probably be moved to the music board but I thought I'd ask it here as it's probably not worthy of an entire thread.


There's a song that I like currently but I can't figure out it's name.

It was regularly on video hits/rage late last year and still is on the radio ocasionally. The film clip features a weird looking guy and a really skinny girl on a desolate beach. They swim around and then the girl gets out for some reason and runs off. The guy follows her through a forrest/jungle and the eventually see a giant city (i think?).

It was fairly popular so hopefully someone can identify it for me.

Not that one, although I like that song too.

The forrest looks like the one in that video though. The two kids in it look between 16-21.

I can't even remember how it goes ussually but when I hear it I know I like it.

I know the clip you are talking about. Was on Go! between shows.

When I hear a song I don't know but like and want to get what I do is remember some of the lyrics and then you google search "lyrics" plus some of the lyrics you remembered.

I ussually do. Just with this one I couldn't remember any lyrics and I couldn't even remember how it went. I just knew that whenever I heard it I really liked it.

Took me a while and several songs but I finally got it to recognise Eye of the Tiger, and it had it at the top of the list too!

It's interesting when you get the list of other songs and realise that some do have a similar tune to the one you were tapping.

But there's been a few songs I've tried to get but couldn't AND THEN I see them come up when I wasn't trying for them!

Examples are the MASH theme (suicide is painless) and 99 Luftballoons, I can't get them by trying but I've seen them listed for other songs.

Or people use it to try make a piece of footage to look/seem old?

Its quite well known and only consists of a piano tune, no words... kinda fast and can be repetitive?

Gonna sound a bit nerdish here, but is it called "The Entertainer"?
Its a song created by Scott Joplin. Normally see it in the old Western movies or even those silent movies.

I think I might be on a winner.

If he said what's the song from The Sting most of us would have known it and could have looked it up via the movie.

Detailed description maybe not necessary there but I really want to find out this damn song name.

I've seen an ad on the internet and that song is New Order by Blue Monday. Although I've seen one on TV that was different.
