Ben,
Just wear it 5 days staright if you're too lazy to wash it.

Nobody's going to the Games anyway so if it smells it won't matter that much.

Sheer arrogance, Daytripper.

Of course people are going to the game, otherwise we wouldn't have been employed in such large numbers mate.

Ben,

I totally see your point. As I have stated in another thread, I was also accepted as a volunteer. I have since had to call off my involvement, but I would have had the same issue as well.

Yours,

Mr P.

Thats funny, I thought a definition of arrogance might be telling all and sundry every little occurence in their lives in the belief that it is important to them.

I'll look out for you on Sportscenter. ESPN haven't advertised whether they're covering the volleyball between Niger and Mali but I'm sure they will.

Yeah, I remember you seeing your were accepted as a volunteer.

Why did you have to pull out ?

They gave me 9 shifts and I just can't do them. I would still have to do my normal job at the same time and that's a bit ridiculous.

Ben,

Get yourself a bottle of that Glen 20 stuff and a spray on mild starch. When you are getting ready, spray the shirt with a bit of each and hang the shirt on a coat hanger in the bathroom while you have a shower, make sure there is plenty of steam being generated by the shower.

This will help a bit and help keep the shirt in good nick without having to wash it every night.

Regards

S. Pete

Collingwood.

Sponsoring the shower in a can for the last 100 years!

Were work not willing to give you some time off, sounds like they were not really that flexible ?

Bitching ?

I am just annoyed that we don't get a second shirt, considering the fact that there are those of us who are working long periods of time and more so at night.

Wouldn't you prefer to jump straight into bed after your shift ?

You conveniently ignore this post Ben?

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4292420&postcount=21

You've been given the simplest and most logical of answers, yet you still moan like a pansie in girls jeans!!!!

I have one shirt to wear to work each day Ben.. It's really not rocket science!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually didn't ignore it, Dicey.

Now that you come to mention it, will take your suggestion if me asking for another shirt at uniform collection day proves unsuccesful.

Why one shirt for work, surely you can ask for another or order one ?

Just wash it overnight and dry it in the morning, or failing that, wake up at noon, wash it and dry it back-to-back and its done by 2.

And the reason these incredibly simple ideas didnt occure to you Ben is...

because he wanted to tell us AGAIN how wonderful he is for 'volunteering'.

No, Daytripper.

There are others out there who most certainly do more of it than me and deserve more credit than yours truly ever will.

What brand is the shirt?

Because honestly, if it isn't Von Dutch or something along those lines then it wouldn't matter if they gave me six shirts - I wouldn't be caught dead in them.

Just because I volunteer doesn't mean I should look bad - I am always on the prowl for chicks and if they see me in some polyester polo number, well I'll end up going home alone....again.

Surely the Commonwealth Games organisation is aware of this - are they just ignoring it? Maybe the PM could get something rushed through parliament in time - he knows about looking good for the ladies.

Any advice would be appreciated.

dont wash it mate simple as that
we play aust uni games with one shirt, socks etc compete and dont wash a thing
you're goin to be a volunteer its not going to matter
