Help wanted. Blues v Bulldogs

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

The Blues v Bulldogs match has had absolutely no coverage in Queensland. Even on the news, they showed the score but didn't mention it.

Can somebody enlighten me? I saw we had a few youngsters in the squad. Did any of them play a part in the win? How did Campo go as skipper? Were we as attacking as last year? How did we line up positionally?

I NEED to know!!!! I'm excited. Roll on March 3 at the Gabba!!!! They can talk up the Pies, the Roos and Port this weekend, we'll just slip under their guard.

Talking up the pies after a just scraped in win over last years woodenspooners pfffffft

dark navy blue, i went to the game yesterday with my brother who is a carlton supporter..i am a hawk supporter. but i can honestly give you good point of veiw...Carlton were good yesterday...they used jim plunkett off the rookie list to quell scott west and he did a resonable job on tagging him but also held his own around the ground and racked up the most possesions of the blues....he seemed sharp and looks to have a good future...Ryan houlahan seems to have kicked on showing dash throught midfield and more awareness.but went off pretty early and seemed to be feeling the effects of a niggle. Carlton also were served well by scott freeborn who laid some excellent tackle and harrased the scraggers very well and got the crowd on the feet a couple of time for his desperation..he kicked a couple of goals too. Dissapointing for the blues was the form of Lance(the fat farm aint working)whittnal...He looked out of touch and unfit. couldnt get in to the game and dropped some sitter marks..Prospects to look out for if they use it during the season will be Mark Porter at fullforward...he took some riper grabs and kicked 3 telling goals...and exposed the bullies for height in defence....Brendan Fevola seems taller this year and also more explosive...he kicked 4 goals after coming on 3/4 through the 1st qtr. He was deadly from any distance and got free alot of times using his pace. Ang Christou was great playing a sweeping role across half back...
Beuamont seemed to have the job on chris grant and kept him well in check ....grant like whitnall couldnt get a sniff.Murray Vance played on brad johnson and was pasted as johnson kicked 6 goals and took 10 marks for the game. The blues were lacking their usual relaible defenders in Mckay, Rice, Silvagni....so they were kinda exposed at having no one to run with a second crumbing forward..as the kept paul hudson in check

Camporeale was captain yesterday and played with his usaual flair and took the doggies on dow the wings..

Matty Allan played a great game in the ruck and carlton enjoyed a lot of centre clearances for allans good tap work.

kris massie looks to have come on and showd desperation and tackled hard...looks so much like silvagni on the field.

Matthew lappin went off early with a rolled ankle i think cuz he was limping after halftime and didnt take his place on the field again.

Another one to look out for is simon fletcher as he is a good mark for his size and is quick..has great poise and kicks well both feet.

anyway thats my summary of it...carlton barring injuries should be in the top 6...

so there you go m8

Seriously, please go to http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/thecarltoncoachsbox

There are heaps and heaps of posts regarding every detail of the game there that you could ever need to know, someone has also writeen a report of each quarter, a complete breakdown of the lineups, who did what, how goals were scored etc. I also think you should join the club, and join a place where there is actually intelligent coversation, unlike this site. You seem suited to the club, so at least check it out!!

Mate, I think you'll really enjoy the Coach's Box. - Blues fans from all over the country (including myself!) are getting alot out of it! - The reporting and commentary is exceptional, and the forum maintains an exceptional level of decorum, and therefore integrity.

Regards

Rich.
