Nope they all fellow employees. Club is responsible for providing a safe work place.

The club may be able to sue them to recover losses but the players actions is against the club.

No the club is a legal entity in its own right within the law. It may require people to make decisions on behalf of the club but the club itself has legal rights and responsibilities akin to that of any person.

The club has previously stated they have insurance to cover this. It would be a really odd (and stupid) thing if they did not.

It should also raise alarm bells if the club starts making additional payments on top of the insurance payouts.

Glad I had it when I stupidly reversed out diagonal park looked in my centre review mirror and saw a car pass, did not check my side mirror and failed to notice it stopped just after I thought it passed me. Boy did I feel stupid reversing into the rear corner panel of a Merc

Have to find the story again but it's a different insurance policy to their legal insurance. More of a public/professional indemnity insurance.

Unlikely pretty sure the work cover charges were based on negligence not intent. You insure yourself against your own negligence. Wilfully doing something is where issues arise.
