Can everyone wait until the investigation is over before forming an opinion or ranting? The media doesn't have all the information, nor do all the little Bigfooty google specialists. I don't have an opinion about this issue and I won't have one until the investigations are over. Essendon is guilty if they are, and not guilty if they are not. Simple. Unlike what many believe (without concrete evidence), we don't know that yet. Will the right decision be made? We will know after the investigation is COMPLETE and the findings are released.

Calls like AOD having performance enhancing effects that lasts until this year is beyond ridiculous. Has anyone who claims this performed a lengthy study on this? What are the findings/statistics/sample size?
Similarly, calls such as AOD not being performance enhancing are also ridiculous. I know that David Evans said this (as it seems like he has resources), but can we wait until the investigation is over to see why he said this?
I understand that this isn't the only criteria for the substance to be banned. Regardless, we don't know how many, if any (despite Jobe's admission), took AOD or any other peptide/drug/vitamin during last year. Maybe the coaches used it? Maybe it was the whole playing group and thus, Essendon may not be able to field a team next year? Maybe it was 4 players? Maybe ASADA screwed up? Maybe Essendon are innocent? Maybe guilty? All the speculations mean nothing until infraction notices are handed out to the players after the investigation or the club is cleared.

The media will sell anything to generate interest and we have seen many changes to their stories every week. This is why it is an unreliable source. How do people not know this yet?
Could it be accurate? We will know once the investigation is over.

I want it resolved as much as the next person, but a little patience will do. So lets just wait until the investigations are over. We have an exciting season so far and it looks to get even better

Essendon will definitely receive some sort of punishment from the AFL, guilty or not guilty. No doubt so Tim Watson has not revealed anything new there.
Evans said what he said and of course I would rather have him not say anything, but it isn't as big of a deal as some people on here claim it is. Maybe he should have provided some evidence. Regardless, all will be revealed come August.

Lets not form an opinion on who might win the brownlow this year until after the count when we know who got the votes
Lets not form an opinion on who might be in the AA team until after the teams announced
Lets not form an opinion on whether Buddy is going to sign on with GWS or not until an announcement is made
Lets not form an opinion on who our clubs might draft this year until after the draft
Etc etc

Like it or not people speculate on likely outcomes of events especially when they don't know everything and form opinions, good or bad, on what they do know or even what they think they know.

Actually the media haven't recanted anything yet and haven't proven to have been wrong about anything. In fact all they do is add more and more allegations to show how massive a story it is.

Essendon on the other hand in particular David Evans has been continually caught out lying and making things up. "Oh it was just vitamins!"

The only proven unreliable source so far is Essendon... the media so far have been proven right.

So Essendon held a press conference to admit they had a drug problem.... and then had an Essendon supporter run an investigation into it... and he said there was a problem........ and then ASADA is now investigating it even though you say ASADA already knew they gave the all clear... and it has taken them 6 months to prove they gave the all-clear themselves?

Interesting that your post is directed at those who have concluded that essendon are guilty and not those who have reached the equally ridiculous conclusion that essendon are innocent.

You are correct in that none of us know for sure either way but there's enough information out there to know that activities at your club in 2012 were curious at best and some sanctions are likely as a result. There's no harm in people guessing to fill in the blanks to reach their own opinions while we wait. Those with the most extreme views will likely be disappointed

Well it's ASADA or the AFL. I would be more worried if it was someone at the AFL to be honest because it means they are making an example of you.

They won't leak the findings because they are still deciding how to punish Essendon and seeing if they have found every last drug in their system.

Read OP again. I said concluding that we are guilty and not guilty. If Essendon are guilty, I would rather us cop the punishment and rebuild from there. If we are not guilty, then move on and challenge for our next flag. There is no harm in speculating of course. I have some scenarios playing in my head myself, but the problem is the whole mentality that we are cheats already, without the conclusion of the investigation. There may be a major part that we don't know. If Essendon is not guilty, then we may still be 'guilty' as a result of people's reactionary conclusions
