So I traded him in, in round 5. I kept him because I didnt want to waste trades. A terrible game last week and minor injury. Is he worth keeping? I have 13 trades left.

someone said he has OP but he isn't on the WB injury list. I'll probably keep him as thefocus is a league win & Darling & Krakouer can fill the gap for a few weeks IF he is injured.

On the flip side if it is OP & they rest him there are no guarantees he will come back any good.

i love it when i see him in my opponents lineup, you know he either isnt going to play or get injured halfway through, him being subbed off basically won me a league game last week!

the more people with higgins the better!

I started with him, but traded him out for a real premium the second he pulled out with soreness. My rash & drunken knee jerk reaction has served me well so far.

So you could argue that he has missed 3 out his manditory 5-6 games for the season, but he is fit amd should return some good scores (without being fantastic) for the rest of the year?

Do you love it just as much when he scores huge against you, or have you been lucky enough not to cop him often when he's been healthy and in form.

Or are you just bullshitting?

Sure he's an injury risk and I wouldn't blame anyone for not getting him but suggesting that you love it when you see him in the opposition lineup is either uneducated or disingenuous.

Admit it. Every time you see him in your opponent's lineup you shit yourself and hope he gets injured.

Exactly the same as me, right down to the drunken part!

Came back from the pub, saw he had pulled out due to "groin soreness"... Big feeling of deja vu, so I promptly traded him out for Chapman. Much better move, as I'm confident Higgins won't return to the form that he showed in the first few rounds for a long while yet.

His only "huge" score has been against the gold coast (and he was in my opponents team), more recently i have seen 2-3 opponents with him wasting away on the bench and one last week when he was subbed off. The money they have spent on him warming the bench has detracted from their team elsewhere, hence an easier opponent for me!

He is far from a consistent high scorer, who are the only players who I would be scared of seeing in my opponents lineup.

Really? I get worried playing against inconsistent scorers like higgins and shaw because they often end up being the difference. Well maybe just me because they always score big against me.

I don't mind taking a punt on injury prone players like Higgins and Adcock. Sometimes it pays off like Waters last year and Adcock so far this year. Injuries can happen to anyone.

Adcock was less of a risk due to his lower price, and his injuries have mainly been ligaments (knee, ankle) which I see as bad luck, rather than soft tissue injuries which tend to be recurring throughout a season. I went Adcock from the start and have been stoked with him.

I've had Higgins in the past and been massively frustrated by this, its nice to be on the other side of it this year.

I still got 2337 with Higgins getting me a 29 last week, and 2134 the week before with him sitting on the pine. If you have sufficient cover (like a Swallow or Harris in the mids), it really shouldn't affect your scoring that much. He can be a good scorer when in form, so he'll stay in my team as long as he doesn't pick up a LTI.

Yep one of those suckers who got tempted once again by his "best preseason ever" and "over his injuries".. :o

and I just had to keep him after he pulled up with his "1 week" general soreness coz he was my highest averaging fwd at the time.. wish I had a drunken moment and made a rash decision! But I vowed never to go near my DT and fb when Im drunk.

Anyway thinking of trading him this week.. BE way too high and didnt plan for him to be a keeper. Sylvia and Pav still has a few price drops to go tho so not sure what to do now!

Any Higgins owners have any good reasons on keeping him?

Don't let him sodomize you again.
