I considered 5 players. In the end I thought it was just too early for Richard Douglas who shapes as a good solid Chris Newman type, but I wanted more, I wanted to be greedy and get a game-breaker. I had Hughes, Clark and Dowler to consider. We need a KP player but I have doubts over Clark and Dowler. Hughes is just solid.

JON no doubt line ball, but I won't complain if we give him another year. He was bottom age when drafted. he is just over a year younger than Hughes who was drafted same year. We probably should be comparing him more with kids like jetta, armitage, everitt, selwood, gibbs. obviously nowhere near the latter pair, but in similar stage of development to the other 3.
