I also have to agree with you Anja_Nees. When I rang up last Monday to pay the lay-by off our family membership plus 2, I asked what the current tally was and they told me it was over 10,000, which isn't a bad number for this stage and also up a fair bit on the same time last year I think. A pity the Doggies site isn't kept up to date as often though.

As for the coach, he needs to have some time to let the team gel before people start getting on his back, after all there will be quite a few changes before the season proper begins, with a few regulars coming back from in between season surgery, as well as more than a couple of newcomers.

Last season was a dreadful one for us all to endure and one that hopefully won't be reproduced, however let's get behind Peter (previously known as Rhoder) and give him a go with a pretty much fit side and see how he fares then.

I think they are running about 600 more members than at the same time last season. We are traditionally a club that has a late membership surge so I hope we can still top last seasons effort.
