Agree, why not? But remember one thing, hes not gonna worry about grabbing a jumper to get someone back in a granny!

If Hodge plays next week and the cats go him (which they will) it has all in brawl written all over it.
The footy match is going to be a cracker - but who will win the fight?

Could've been fooled today. Went to water in a GFL grand final and surrendered to a 110 point belting.
Surely Hodge would've sat out the second half tonight if they genuinely thought he had broken ribs? There's a difference between toughness and sense, and if he chose to play out the second half when his side was 50+ points up knowing he was genuinely jeopardizing his chances of playing next week, that's just downright selfish and stupid. Love the way he goes about it, hes walking inspiration, and I doubt he's got broken ribs.
I have a feeling that Max Rooke will go to Hodge at the opening bounce and test him out early.
Don't go judging him on the standards you'd set for Lloyd or FcMee.
There's a well worn path for Hawks champions to be playing through injury when it matters. He'll be right; maybe a little yarn to Dipper and The Kid through the week just to remind him.
We all know what happened the last time a Geelong player 'tested a player out' at the centre bounce in a GF!![]()
If he's got cracked ribs and he plays, why wouldn't you give him a couple of jumper punches in the ribs. You wouldn't get reported, you probably wouldn't even concede a free kick for it... What's the downside to doing it?
lol@ossie being here - a joke right?'Brown, Hodge, Bateman, Robbie Campbell, Guerra, Sewell, Renouf, Lewis, Dew and Ossie' says the Hawks will.

I'd expect the same in reverse if a Geelong player had a rib injury, with Campbell Brown going to the injured player.
Should be a great game![]()
first big contest - hodge is going down....Sarlo will also target f@#klins wrist - it wont be behind play it will all be legit
will be interesting to see how the hawks run out the game if they go down a player early and with 1 days less recovery...
this has cakewalk written all over it
Good to see that you won't have a problem with someone from the hawks testing out a troublesome ankle early in the game. Could be a job for changa
I'm not sure who he's talking about but SJ has finicky ankles doesn't he?whose ankle will that be?

I was assuming he was talking about Ablett but I don't think he has much of a case for a dodgey ankle.
You assumed correctly and he still appears a little proppy.
Not saying it is going to happen, my point is I would prefer that it be a legit game of footy. If you have to line up targets right from the outset, well it says a lot about where your mind is at.
