Re: The difference between a champion and a pretender! Luke Hodge???

Yes I did see that final mate, I was there and yes he was good! But to be a champion you can't just do it once, you need to do it over and over. I have never ever seen a champion stuff a game that badly...never!

Oh dear - so players like Hird and Voss never had bad games?

You're right - one game makes a career.

Let's not judge him based on an elimination final or anything, rather a game when it'd be fair to say that 'other' things were on his mind.

Much better bloke too.
as if a wart like you would know Buckley or even Hodge for that matter. don't even use Bucks and Hodge in the same sentence. as someone pointed out - Hodge was the difference tonight

You're right. Hodge can only be named in the same breath as Buckley when he 'heroically' smears blood on an opponent.

You guys are forgetting that his wife could of had the baby any moment and his mind could of been on that.

And Hird in the 2000 GF didn't have other things on his mind when his daughter was seriously ill in hospitle the night before the game??

Good arguement Hawthorn supporters!! Really good

Don't get me wrong, of course I'd have him at Essendon. He is a good player.....but that's all!

Hodge is a champion, I don't know what was wrong with him tonight, worst game I have ever seen him play, I think his mind was elsewhere!

big stage...big pressure....the problem is simple...hes NOT a champion..he a FLOG and frontrunner who plays in the softest position on the half blank flank and loves to bomb....

hes a hack.

and C brown is his dog

Ah, so basically what you wanted was a Hird-lovefest thread.

Please, continue.

Re: The difference between a champion and a pretender! Luke Hodge???

Hodge stuffed it tonight, no doubt, but he will be a champion. Just turned 24. Has done more than Buckley at the same age.

Much better bloke too.[/QUOTE]

I don't think Nigel Lappin would agree with this.

Re: The difference between a champion and a pretender! Luke Hodge???

Terrible, terrible thread

There's no doubt unfortunately that the Hawks will win a flag in coming years.

Agreed terrible thread but no doubt they'll win a flag? That's what they said about St Kilda.

regards,

REB

Is it not legitimate arguement?

Not about a HIrd lovefest but clearly that was the easiest example I could think of to negate your poor excuse.
