The biggest question mark over him for me has always been set shots in pressure situations, and I reckon he kicked 3 vital goals from set shots today where there were less than 2 kicks in it.

It's like he got bonus XP for winning the B&F, levelled up and dumped all his attribute points into set shots.

Those who criticised him for "floating around too much" a couple years ago have hopefully caught on to the utility of this guy. Geelong might have Blicavs (he used to be a steeplechaser, did you know? Did you know he can run good? DiD yOu kNoW...?) but we have the Hoff and he's wayyyy better.

Honestly can play him anywhere on the ground these days with some level of confidence. Today he sat forward and bombed 5. When Charlie comes back he'll push up the ground a bit more and collect 28 disposals, 3 goal assists, 7 inside 50s and kick 3 sausages.

Really excited for his 250th next week, hope the boys get the result again and show their respects to this legend.

Appears to have reduced his nerves or had a subtle change in kicking action as all of his shots were straight through the middle. Westy would have handed off or shanked at least one kick previously, and this was really his only deficiency - kicking the impossible but never being confident he would score from 15 metres in front. The last piece of the puzzle!

Anyone have a screenshot of him pointing to his jumper just after the final siren?

Just that reliable go to guy now.

You see him in a contest or pack and you know there's a pretty good chance he and we are going to come out ahead

Wasn't always the biggest fan but loving the Hoff and what he means to our team now..
Sums up my attitude. Hoff has always had tonnes of talent, in fact he's a freak skill wise for his height but I often felt his application was not there. He'd play a great game every few games but not much in between. Last year he was consistently good, often brilliant. So far this year looks the same. Hes become one of my favourites because hes so reliable now.

He’s a lot more damaging playing as a forward than constantly running back to help out the defence.
Jack Watts playing like last night will free up Westie so much.

250th game next week

Is it just me or has he added range to his kicking? I reckon I've only ever seen him kick one goal from 50 or beyond, last home game last year.
And accuracy. He used to be a bit bombscare close to goal...
