Sure, a win is the only acceptable thing. At the moment though, I'm gauging us on how we attack the footy and our strategy and obviously today was much better than last week.

Don't give us another negative week, please.

isnt it better than getting smashed? deep down i knew we would lose at 3 quarter, but if we had of won i would have gone crazy. but they are and have been ahead of every one in the comp by a fair way and to play like that after getting smashed was a "honourable loss"

Slow start and only one good quarter. We deserve to be grilled over the last quarter. 1 goal is just not the finish we were after.

The positives though are that if we can play consistent footy, we'll be breaking a lot of hearts.

Yeah yeah whatever...
THIS game is the type of game we NEVER win over the last 20 years

agree
but it was to the best side in the comp and on their home ground when u consider no 1 gave us a chance to be within 10 goals not 2 shabby an effort

Nothing honourable about that loss

Geelong were wounded, playing about 20% off their best and we still managed to find a way to loss by 20 points when we were a goal up in the last quarter.

Not good enough - i'm not accepting this sort of result anymore - I'm sick of it.:thumbsd:

Can't believe how many 50 metre penalty's get given away in an average game of football these days - what a shitty sport we have made AFL:(

I was extremely impressed with todays efforts, i believe our season is slowly beginning to get back on track.....sounds hard to fathom but hear me out.....

To loose by 80+ by Carlton was a disagrace....to loose by 25 to geelong is respectable. If you were to swap the teams over for the losses...... i.e. Cartlon by 25 and Geelong 80+ It might be easier to digest!

The next two weeks will determine our season if we can win against bulldogs and /or loose by less than 20 points and have a win over Melb by no less than 40 points we will be again back to close to expectations!

This yr we must win games against the likes of Stkilda/Port/Bris/Ess/Coll we will be a chance to compete in September

All you Richmond fans that are sick of it and the term honourable loss wtf. We lost to the best side in the league gee. To even get close should be enough to put a smile on any tiger fans face after last weeks effort. It shows we can match it with most sides. Play like we did today most weeks and the wins will come

I have said it before and I will keep on saying it until it gets through to the brain THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN HONOURABLE LOSS.

10 minutes final quarter and we are in front!

Good teams will never throw away a win from that position, don't care about the 'we gave it our all' line, this means we are not physically fit enough to compete in the first place or our skill levels have not improved in the past 27 years!. Either way, its a loss we should not have had.

Im not accepting today, we were bloody awesome in the 3rd quarter, havent seen geelong stretched like that in a long long long time. But we seized up and didnt go on with it, we lost, bottom line.

Dont get too excited, they were clearly feeling the pinch with some players injured/off the boil. Besides I've seen this all before, a strong heartening performance only to be let down miserably again later on in the season in a winner takes all game where we invariably fold like a deck of cards.

Not accepting these results anymore, not happy.

About time someone else saw the light, Geelong were down for the f***ing today, insted we got f***ed.

how "honourable"

You are basically saying that after 5 years we are still miles off the best around and that we should be happy to get even close

stuff that - we should be matching teams like Geelong by now - and considering how much off their best they were today - we should win games like this.

everyone is passing up while we wank ourselves over "honourable" losses.

makes me sick, and i am pretty sure the players would agree

Incorrect how many of you would of thought we would of got within 3-4goals before the game. If you were told thats how much we would lose by everyone of you would of accepted it. Ofcourse the players would agree yes a win today would of been good however it goes to show even when geelong are not at there best they are still better then what we are to win the game

Exactly.....there is losing, and then there is losing!....You guys have got to get more positive.....Your team played really well..See things for how they are, stop being so negative for a start..

Last week they played terrible..a great dissappointment for you all...THIS week they nearly won!....You have been down a long long time, so its going to be a gradual thing..BE PATIENT!!...The signs today were fantastic, and you now seem to have a good well balanced list..

The Tigers will win some games for sure...Good luck guys:thumbsu:

So when did a loss become a win ...where's our 4 points?

Later on in the season if richmond are playing a winner takes all match for finals football and we pathetically throw in the towel as is our want to do, remember this post and then you'll understand the negativity my son ;)

I will not be fooled by this football club again

I might have your view if we had cap concessions and had won a 'threepeat' in the last decade..
Thanks for trying though

To all the tigers supporters spewing at the loss, kudos to you. :thumbsu:

No such thing as an honourable loss. You win, lose or draw it. And if you accept it and reason it then you'll never make it. I just hope for you guys that all the players and coaching staff have the same attitude as many of you blokes.

Honourable losses are for Fremantle playing finals ;)
