Lol what?? He was diving on the ball! No way will he get any time. If he does they will be setting a dangerous precedent.

Have I been asleep for 2 days and missed the MRP's review of the weekend's games? If not, WTF does Tony Shaw have to do with the fact that Houli was reported ON the field?
 
He should be fine, particularly if there are no carry over points (which I amd unsure of)?
 
was going for the ball and actually got it so incidental contact i would have thought.but then again the mrp is chooklotto!

He purposely pointed out numerous times during the game that Houli should be looked at.

I was having a bit of a joke. Obviously Tony Shaw has no influence on the mrp.

Pretty sure he means a worry with the mrp, not being dropped..

The match day report against Richmond's Bachar Houli for making forceful contact from front-on against theGiants' Tomas Bugg was assessed. The panel said Bugg was on the ground and was seeking to handball the ball to a teammate. Houli comes towards him with his arms outstretched in a bid to block or smother the ball and high contact was made. It was the view of the panel that Houli's actions were a legitimate attempt to spoil or smother the ball. No further action was taken.

Contact between Richmond's Matt Dea and the GWS Giants’ Jeremy Cameron from the second quarter of Saturday's match was assessed. The ball was loose on the ground after a marking contest and Cameron is in the process of bending down to pick up the ball. Dea comes to the contest and has his arms out in front of him in a bid to either win possession or to tackle his opponent. High contact was made by the Richmond player and a free kick was paid. It was the view of the panel that Dea had no realistic alternative way to contest the ball and no further action was taken.

Contact between Richmond's Shane Edwards and umpire Matt Stevic from the third quarter of Saturday’s match was assessed. After viewing all available video evidence and interviewing umpire Stevic, who said he could not recall if player Edwards made any actual contact with his motion to reach towards him, it could not be determined that any umpire contact had occurred. No further action as taken.
 
Thought Houli would get off, couldn't recall the Dea one, Edwards was lucky but they didn't even look at the incident right before that which surprises me. Looks like you can lift other players off the ground and get away with it, maybe because his name wasn't Batch.. :P
 
Nothing in the Houli incident so fair enough.
Edwards however is pretty lucky... looked to me like in frustration he brushed the ump off.
This is exactly the sort of thing they like to get all high and mighty about.
Kudos to Matt Stevic for "not remembering if contact was made".

As someone else said above, I was far more worried about his 'trip'. Of all the things you get penalised for, they allow you to flip a bloke over by his ankles :D

That's impossible. The whole of the AFL and the media are against us. Clearly you have got this wrong somehow.
