The young (less than 16) and the old (30+) will never appreciate house music.
How about the house music of the late 80s and 90s? ;)

It's good for going to clubs but it's disposable music, won't want to remember it in 6 months. Same with the "R&B" (which these days is teen pop made by blacks. James Brown must be rolling in his grave) like Rihanna, Usher etc.

The young dont appreciate it because their minds havent been corrupted with crap yet and the older people dont appreciate it because they have matured.

Probably a fair way of looking at it. I doubt I'll be listening to the latest house music compilations when I'm over 30.

Everyone has different tastes. Don't bag it simply because you don't like it. There are plenty of people who probably think what you listen to is shite.

There are good and bad songs in every genre.

I (L) it. Hopefully i am still bangin to it when i am in my 30's. LOL that is a funny thought!

Personally, I like certain genres with words, but I like electro/house for the basslines and the funky beats, and coz it's fun to dance to. Not all of it is good, alot of it is rather generic, but some tracks are awesome.

Like this one for instance:

Take That

Some of it's good but more into the ol Happy hard stuff. A lot electronic stuff now is a bit of a ****fest, the scene isnt as 'hands in the air' as its was.

Great post by the OP!

The correct name for this form of assault on the ears is shit house but that's too many syllables for clubbers so it has been shortened to house.

House is pretty much rubbish IMO.
I'm not a fan at all. It is so tripe and repetitive and bland.
The only way I think i could enjoy house is if I was pinging off my head on e's and since I'm not an eccyhead that wont be occuring.

I have never understood the people that listen to this trash at home or in their cars. I mean I hate it but I understand people liking it at a bar or club because they can dance to it and all that jazz. But at home?!

People who think the Electronica genre (Trance, House, Electro, Techno) is not a type of music have no idea.

Personally I really cannot understand what people see in house music but each to their own I guess and if they like that's all that matters. Plenty of people may hate stuff I listen to but I shouldn't have to defend myself against criticism of music I like and neither should fans of house music. If you don't like something don't listen to it, simple as that.

You have no choice though.
