I see you guys are convinced Mundy will leave for Victoria.

I am convinced that Brent Prismall would want to leave Geelong, as he has very limited opportunities unfortunately.

So, how about a direct trade for Mundy and a second round pick for Prismall. Or maybe Prismall for Mundy and Geelong with Freo giving Geelong their second round pick (I'm guessing around 17-21) for Geelongs (36-40).

What do all think.

You'd be giving us your 1st or 2nd round pick as well, without us giving giving you squat in the picks, if you wanted it to be fair. In reality, your first rounder will be as good as a second.

If most Freo fans had their way it would be written into the club constitution that no picks before round 4 maybe round 3 are ever to be traded.

Mundy is a good player, his use of the ball and decision making is class. Remember he finished 2nd to Deledio in the Rising Star and is still young.

No doubting Mundy's class when he has the ball and he's 30 metres in the clear. But he's slow and soft. And importantly, seems to be rated in Melbourne far in excess of his actual worth.

I'd happily take Prismall as a direct swap, but I reckon we could probably get a late 1st round, early 2nd round pick for him from another club. Which i'd prefer given our circumstances. With Warnock on the table as well as a possible priority pick at the end of the 1st round, we could get 5 top 20 or 25 picks if we play it smart.

Surely Geelong would only be considering trading Corey due to salary cap pressure. Given that I cannot see them looking at Mundy who would be borderline st 22 for them, and still eat into the salary cap. Corey would more likely be available for picks. Perhaps on-trade picks received for either Mundy or Warnock, for Corey if Harvey thinks we are finals material next year. Or just keep the picks if he thinks we are 2+ years away.

Prismal has racked up a total 15 games since 2006 having been regularly injured. Mundy has 50+ games and was ranked 3rd in his rising star year. Can't see us trading a consistent top 22 player and second round pick. More like the other way around.

Personally, I can't see what Mundy would offer Geelong.

I think he was referring to "people" as in BigFooty posters, fans, etc. The only people that drive his worth are those in a position to hire/fire him. Although I think a large proportion of the BigFooty public would be shocked to know that they don't drive the worth of players.
