Riddle me this. (whatever the **** that means)

The company I consult with won a big award yesterday, at a conference - and as such, there were some celebratory beverages there, which went on to the coogee hotel, which in turn went out to some restaurant somewhere (slightly hazy) then kept going to some other pub at which point there is every chance I finally passed out.

Now my wallet is substantially lighter friom the experience of buying so many damn drinks.

But the question is: after spending so much cash on drinks over a 15 hour period, why the **** do you wake up feeling like you havent had a drink in approximately a month, and your mouth like a sand dune?

*shrug*

Excuse me, I need a beer.

Alcohol does not hydrate the body but at the same time due to the excesive drinking your having to go to hte toliet more than usual.
So in turn your urinating what hydration you had out of your system and merely replacing it with dehydrating alcohol

Unfortunately, because I am a very experienced drinker, the above quote is exactly how it is.

Sometimes I may slip in a glass of water during drinks (if I think of it) which can help but the dehydration factor in the morning is what shrinks the brain and gives you that thumping headache/hangover until hydration returns.

Considering that smokers smoke far more while drinking, Nicotine overdose/poisoning is a contributing factor to that headache in the morning, I can't smoke for at least 2 days after a drinking session, on a normal day I may smoke 2-3 cigs but smoke a packet of 20's with a nite of drinking.

Cheers,
Evan

You obviously didn't drink enough

please skull a 375ml bottle of vodka and don't call me in the morning.

ps - if this doesn't work. Repeat dose.

pps - if still this doesn't work - repeat dose again

etc etc

When you get home at night drink a glass of water.
Also as stated above. Try a soda after evert 4 or 5 drinks.
But drink it slowly. Amazingly this will keep you from passing out early in the night.

Cordial is better, it hydrates and also replaces the sugar your body has lost. I usually drink 1.5-2 litres of raspberry cordial when i get home and in the morning i'm fine.

Yeah alcohol's great - until the next morning. Drink at least four glasses of water before going to bed. That is meant to lessen the effects of dehydration. But as for a hangover cure, there isn't one.
I've been searching for a long time and still haven't found one. When I do, I am going to patent it. It will make me very rich!:D
