How did Kreuzer go against Brisbane

Couldn't watch the game last night but how did Kreuzer go last night at the Dome against Brisbane.

Heard some good comments on the radio about his attack on the ball.

Had taps to advantage for the first time I've seen in a while, and did it against quality in Leuenberger and Charman.

Also, his ground work is second to none for a big fella

Kreuzer had 21 hit outs (33% to advantage)
Leunberger had 20 hit outs (15% to advantage)

Out Matthew won that battle. Kreuz was also better around the ground with his 1%ers and 2nd,3rd & 4th efforts. Simply a beauty for a big man.

I must admit I have had my doubts about him as a ruckman - never doubted his work around the ground but didn't want another Josh Fraser !

I'm not gunna blow the load too quickly, but he will be better than Fraser - Kreuz roves his own ball, finds space, smothers, chases, tackles and is a beautiful set shot at goal. They are all traits Josh does not have.

Was very surprised to see him in that ad. Comes across as very shy and timid.

Matty Kruezer is a future superstar. Thought his game last night was awesome. Tap work has improved out of sight. His focus and determination is just scary. He just thinks "Clearance, Clearance, Clearance". A machine. Occasionally gets angry when his team-mates get hit e.g. he threw Newman around like a rag doll after a crude tackle on Hadley. When we struggled a little in the 3rd last night, he steps up and exerted a little "physical presence" in the midfield contests. He is a true midfielder who just happens to be 200cm tall.

Absolutely. I was worried when Warnock got injured and we made it clear that Clokey would play more up forward, that we would burn out Kreuz, ala Josh Fraser. But Sauce has proved to be an excellent second choice ruckman for somone his age. Once Warnock comes back, we'll have some serious competition for Ruck spots. Personally I'd happily watch Kreuz play the second half of the year up forward, which Warock doing the majority and Cloke/Hampson/Sauce battling it out for the other spot.

if you didn't see the game and just read the stats, you wouldn't get near the understanding of how well the kid played. His 2nd, 3rd and even 4th efforts were probably better than anyone on the ground. His attack on the ball and man for a kid his size has to be seen to be believed
