How do you feel about Subi?

Long and fond memories but the council in particular has stood in the way of development so it is an ageing relic. It is part off the social fabric of Perth.
I would have preferred the WACA site to be redeveloped but it is run by aging relics.
Looking forward to the new stadium. Looks great. I am over the MCG which is large but thats all. Much prefer the other one to watch footy in melbourne. The SCG is actually very good for watching footy. Adelaide is great - particularly the way it links to the city - see WACA Site.

Many many great memories of Subi in the early days, it was an absolute fortress and had a real suburban close knit feel. It's time to upgrade for sure but I'm very glad we said goodbye to the old girl in great style.
I'll always love Subi.

Docklands is a sensational stadium. I prefer it to the G.

With the WACA ground, you would have needed to knock it down and start again. All you'd be retaining is the footprint.

Subi is shithouse. Glad we're done

It's a ****ing shithole. I'm pretty small, only 168cm and of average build and even my knees are pressed against the seat in front and I have basically no room whatsoever on either side. Half the seats elsewhere are just wooden benches. The big screens are ****ing terrible. The whole ground just makes it a far less fun experience going to the footy than it should be.

The city end was sick in the early 90s before the redevelopment. Proper old-school standing room. Opposition players used to cop some almighty abuse at that end of the ground. I was a young bloke but I can still remember Tony Lockett walk to the fence and remonstrate with some bloke, I thought he was going to smack him haha
