Tambling alone makes our list look very good for the future. He is a superstar in the making, will be future captain over Deledio.

Bling's the best kid we've got, Lids is very close and both will be so awesome but Blinger is our #1 youngster make no mistake about it. I'm sick of people bagging him, he has been better than a majority of other #4 picks in history and dominates Griff or Roughead anyday lol, don't know why they didn't pick Tambling (who was clearly the 2nd most talented player on draft day).

West Coast was first, now he will tear your team apart too, in time ;)

As for the rest of our list, we've got a fantastic group of 18-21 year olds. They are very close and determined and I have a lot of faith that they will lead us into a string of finals once they mature together. It's blokes like Travis Casserly who is yet to debut (injuries) who you haven't heard of... his kicking skills are exceptional and he'll be a beauty to put a smile even on Leon Cameron's face. Hughes/Polak/Riewoldt make a good spine for the future and Cogs will be around for a long time yet.

We've got a bit of changes to make but we have already assembled an excellent group of youngsters and now all we have to do is wait and maintain.

These youngsters have shown they are already good enough to command a starting spot and have plenty more improvement left:

-Deledio, taken the next step, has shown signs hes becoming a very damaging player

-Tambling, Big improvement, still lacks consistency but his best is getting better each week. Growing in confidence.

-Foley, Absolute clearance machine, great find

-Polo, He belongs, plateued this season so needs to get back on track. Should spell him and get surgery on his shoulder have him ready for per season.

-Thursfield, coming back from a knee reco, in a handful of games has shown he can take on and beat big name forwards. Still lightly built at 83kgs, but has bulked up from the 77kgs he was last season. Just want him to play out the year, get experience, put on another 5kgs and be ready for next season

-Polak, Has surprised everyone with how well hes played. Top 3 in our B&F so far. Much fitter and looks a lot quicker

-Hughes, Good hands, thumping kick, big unit, got CHF written all over him.

-Raines, Gone backwards this season, but has been carrying a knee, seems to have rediscovered his touch the past few weeks

-Edwards, 1st year player, skinny runt, lots of dare, takes them on, running machine and kicked a couple of goals last week.

-Pattison, Been smashed in the ruck, has had to do it alone has shown a lot of promise in picking up lots of touches around the ground and really came to the fore in the last quarter against the crows, almost willing us across the line. Looks ungainly but got the goods.

-King, Rookie, come from nowhere, small attacking defender with mongrel. If he didnt show such a hunger to rebound and run I wouldnt bother with him but adds lots of run.

Other youngsters that imo have talent, have shown a bit, but still have to prove themselves as regular starters are:

-McGuane (but has certainly improved a lot, I think he'll make it as a 3rd tall forward/backman.
-Schulz, reckon he has the tools for a very good FF, but his time is just about now, needs to cement himself over the next 12 months.
-Reiwoldt, not ready for AFL but dominates at VFL
-JON, Injury interrupted in his first season, had stress fractures and missed most of his 2nd pre-season. He'll be right.
-Meyer, lots of talent, shown glimpses but rumours that he doesnt want to be here.
-Jackson, Had him on the duds list but Last 3 weeks has been very very good, needs to keep it up however. May have just come into his own..

Unknowns:
-Casserley, keeps getting injured very close to senior berth.
-Peterson, 1st year player, only just come off the Long term injury list.
-Connors, highly regarded, got class, bad fitness base
-Collins[/b,] 1st year player

Regular senior players:
Richo,
J. Bowden,
Newman
Cogs, (inj)
Brown, (inj)
Simmonds, (inj)

Serviceable (and expendable):
Tuck,
Pettifer,
Tivendale,
Howat,
P. Bowden,
Hyde

Duds and need to be given the a.rse immediately:
Knobel,
Moore,
Krakouer,
Hall

That breaks down the list and shows how little quality we have in terms of experience. Ive probably forgotten a few but meh cant be bothered.

The second group of youngsters I have grouped together as "got talent but need to prove themselves" are the key to richmond. If half or more of them come on to join the first lot, things look good, if they dont, we're in a bit of trouble.

Great post and hard to disagree with any of it ...

You have to admit the Tiges 2007 has been a complete and utter disaster. I was not surprised. In a way I think the spectacular capitulation could turn out to be a positive for the Tiges - i.e. confronting the reality of some shocking list management decisions over the past 6 years or so, which should be enough incentive to take some positive steps to get the list right, rather than hide behind Terry-spin. I still have no idea why Kent Kingsley is being allowed to play in your senior team - what on Earth will that achieve? The Tiges have a few good young players, that should progress, but there are some that won't who need to be offloaded, and replaced with new talent at years end. I'm still not convinced the Tiges have fixed their list management process - the same old culprits are still there, and Terry's still doing the blame-game thing. Some big changes need to happen at Tigerland, and happen fast. :)

Simple, Richmonds list out of 10?

For me it is 0.

They have absolutely nothing to show for Wallet's appointment except a whole world of pain coming their way.

FB -Gasper is a hack who will retire this year

CHB - Bowden or PolHACK who is a JOKE

Centre - Coughlan injured seriously / Kane Johnson finished.

CHF - Richo. He's a 103 and will retire in the next year or two MAX.

FF - Kingsley LOL.

Tambling a dud.

Oakleigh-Nicholls a dud.

Deledio good but can't carry this joke of a team.

Actually I will give them 1/10 because of Deledio.

On what I have seen tonight my ZERO still stands.

:p

Foley is a dead set gun who will be our best midfielder by mid-season! His added muscle (+6kgs!), his impressive speed (3rd in GF sprint) and wonderful foot skills combined with his intense work ethic equals a potential superstar midfielder on our hands.

Oh benny. I couldn't believe reading this then and it's even more astonishing now.

Not having a go at Foley. A good footballer who would fit into most team's midfield for sure.

But honestly he kicks like Mick McGuane on pain killers.
