They hit a stirring 130 against Western Province...

In reply WP are 0/65 in the 14th over.

13.6 Kloppenburg to Ferreira, SIX, takes a step down the wicket and hits a six which sails over the boundary, over the clubhouse and over a service road

23.1 van Bunge to Ferreira, FOUR
23.2 van Bunge to Ferreira, SIX
23.3 van Bunge to Ferreira, SIX, lofts it high in the air over the head of the head of the long on, over the boundary fence and over the clubhouse
23.4 van Bunge to Ferreira, one run
23.5 van Bunge to Magiet, one run
23.6 van Bunge to Ferreira, one run

End of over 24 (19 runs) Western Province 124/0 (RR: 5.17 RRR: 7/26 = 0.27)
DLS van Bunge 5-0-30-0
LD Ferreira 76* (68b 8x4 4x6) R Magiet 38* (76b 4x4)

Australia v Holland, 20 February.
This could get very messy.

Knowing our luck, Ponting will lose the toss, Holland will bat first and we'll be chasing about 100.

You can't win outright in a ODI can you? ;)

I guess they can't be much worse then England were in the first VB Series Final at the SCG... all over in the 13th over. :D

Australia A v Sri Lanka;)

There was a game a couple of years ago between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe where Chaminda Vass got a stack of wickets and Zimbabwe were bowled out for 38. It took Sri Lanka 6 overs to reach the target.

8/19 including a hat trick.

Fair.

According to SportsTAB, Netherlands, Canada and Kenya are equally bad (or good) as each other, all $5001 to win the World Cup

I know Kenya won't win the World Cup, but they are definately better than the Netherlands and Canada. A bit of an insult to them I think.

Especially as Kenya may get a free ride into the later stages of the tournament courtesy of boycotts. And once you reach that stage, a couple of fluke victories, like when they beat the W.I. and anything could happen. Opposition teams gets food poisoning etc. Reckon 500-1 would be fairer.

are you sure thats Kenya? I suspect you mean Namibia.

Canada are definately worse than Netherlands and Namibia, they were lucky to qualify, whereas the other two were most deserving.

Ever seen OZ play Canada at ice hockey.

Its not pretty, lots of bodies being dragged off the ice.

The big shock was that Scotland failed to qualify for the 2003 WC. They were expected to make the final of the ICC qualifying tournament (and assure themselves qualification) but to lose to Canada in the third-place playoff was considered a major shock and a enormous setback for the sport.

As for Kenya, I would say they are closer in quality to Bangladesh in one-dayers then they are to the Netherlands or Canada.

Chaminda got 8/19. It was all over in the 5th over.

Kenya are a far better side than Bangladesh, and are a realistic chance to qualify for the 2nd round, especially if they get the points in the NZ match. They should beat Canada and Bangladesh, which would give them 3 wins, and if they jag another somewhere they would almost certainly make the Super 6. Kenya v West Indies on the last day of matches could be the decider.

At least the Dutch team mainly consists of players who are full blown Dutchmen, unlike the Canadians, who are captianed by an Austrailan (John Davison), with the majority of the squad consisting of ex-pats from the Caribbean and the Sub-Continent.
