How long do Kochie and Thomas wait?

They already have to an extent anyone approaching 30 can wave goodbye to the ultimate
Yep. For the first time in in decades we are going to have some exceptionally talented guys that won't get near a premiership.

I was going to debate this... but on review, I would say Schulz is our only super player to not get near a flag.

**** us.

Talented but they didn't necessarily deserve to win a premiership either.

Other than Robbie, our other talented players (Boak, Westhoff, Hartlett, Ryder) and younger players (Wines, Wingard) are far from having fulfilled their potential as superstars of the competition.

They don't deserve our sympathy.

We tend to lionise 2014 but we blew that as well.

From 10-1 and a monty for top-2/4 to 14-8 and the hardest of roads that we inevitably fell on.

And we're still giving the coach the benefit of the doubt.

If only we'd kicked a touch straighter...
I think this is what people are missing. 7 more scoring shots in 2014 PF and 8 more tonight. Ken can't kick the goals for them but the fact we got in scoring positions reflects on a good game plan, right?

To be honest I'm not sure of my thoughts on KH. Is it actually his fault we don't do more skills/kicking? Or is that decreed by sports science not wanting to tax out hamstrings too much? I don't think we know enough information to really make the call - there's enough evidence both for and against.

We were saying that in the aftermath of the 2014 PF after Roughead and co methodically iced us like a cake.

Three full years later and we're still saying it.

It's almost as if there are fundamental flaws in our overall skillset and our fatigue-heavy gameplan that result in us botching chances.

Who's job is it to identify and fix?

And people are weeping that we look like finally trading out a bloke who has the worst kicking action since Paul Northeast.

We're a funny old fanbase.

So none of them care enough to succeed or do you think we've mismanaged certain people, played others out of position and expected them to buy into a game plan that doesn't hold up?

That's why this sucks...we'd do a shit-ton of practice at shots on goal, but it just :( didn't happen as good as it should have tonight. Gotta be painful for all the players... I feel for the players right now. tough tough tough...

Wingard's last two years off the back of his cocky attitude, are a long way off from what I expected of him at the end of 2015.

Wines is destined to be a very good, but not champion midfielder. There's a bit of "talk is cheap" about Ollie's failure to start switched on in several important matches recently.

Boak has ended up well short of champion status.

I think it's about the individual players firstly, but the back slapping nature of our club's leaders and supporters. I'm in awe of what Longmire and Pyke have done to the careers of good, ordinary players. I see Bassett doing it with our young defenders, but none of our other coaches having that impact on the players under their care.

Right, so by that I'd assume we're stuck with Hinkley for next season.
LOL.

Ken was critical. (Waaah)

We'll give players more resources. (Again)

Players need to buy in. (Again?)

Worst speech ever. Worst president for a while.

'Hopefully it counts for something' . Quote of the speech

Has anyone got a rough summary? I got about 40 seconds in and couldn't do it anymore.
- I think we're stuck with Ken
- Ken apparently didn't hold back after the game
- We only want players who can get us to a premiership, not players who are happy just to play AFL
- Players will be given all resources needed to succeed, but in return have to follow instructions, have composure in key moments, etc
- The club is hurting
- The club understands we're hurting

Basically all stuff we've heard before. I'm sure Koch wants a premiership, but I don't think he has a clue how to get us there.

I only got about 40 seconds of it as well, but that was enough for me because the bit I heard was uninspiring patronising drivel!

More like how long do the supporters wait before going for KT and Koch?

It's at that point. No more platitudes, no more empty bullshit. To think we trusted you all implicitly. If you fail to act, you will never gain that trust back and it will be all over.

Your move.

If you'd told me after the 2014 PF that we'd play in one final over the next three seasons - and lose it at home to 8th - I'd have assumed we lost a planeload of players/staff in the Bermuda Triangle.

And here we are.
