He was probably hoping for a stronger fan response than "meh"Really, you have to ask whose best interest it is in to leak these details.
Kens manager must be pushing for a longer extension than we are offering.

Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?

Then FFS let him loose. Let him say whatever the **** he wants. This is it.
He's sick and tired of the bullshit - he just wants to coach. It was the reason why he was never appointed earlier - clubs felt he wasn't capable of dealing with the inane questioning and the cliched answers you need to give all the time.
It doesn't help when the media is sucking the **** of Adelaide the whole year while denigrating everything we are doing. The first two years he didn't have to deal with that shit.
I don't want him to leave because I think he deserves to be here to see what he's been trying to accomplish bear fruit. But I can understand why he'd be in no rush. Especially since our soft **** supporters are too impatient at the same time.
A lot of people with very low post counts on the board tonite.
Then FFS let him loose. Let him say whatever the **** he wants.
The fans will appreciate it and we will probably find out which players have the fortitude to take us somewhere and if he gets a few fines so be it.

Probably a good idea.Port has told 5AA that there will be no sackings etc. etc. etc. until after the SANFL grand Final.
I agree .. cant upset any players etc. when there is a Grand Final to be won.Probably a good idea.
After that though, the weeding out of underperformers has to begin.I agree .. cant upset any players etc. when there is a Grand Final to be won.
Yeah tend to agree. The only thing that concerns me with Bassett, has he got what it takes to put in place a good forward structure, as we know he's dam good on the defensive side.I reckon more likely Bassett for this oft talked about stability. However he wasn't even called back for a second interview when Crows were coach hunting, so he obviously didn't blow them away. We promoted our HoHP from internally. Also wasn't there rumour on here that Dew was supposedly interviewed last year? Strange he keeps going for these interviews and apparently knocks them back. Good practice I guess. Anyway even I will go into a massive unrecoverable melt if Vossy is promoted.
In all realism who needs a forward lineYeah tend to agree. The only thing that concerns me with Bassett, has he got what it takes to put in place a good forward structure, as we know he's dam good on the defensive side.
We can say that, we are supporters. But nothing good can come of a president to doing itMaybe that's why Ken went so hard with the being proud of them in the post game.
I wouldn't be proud of a team that continually let golden opportunities slip. I was proud of their effort, but not their football. It wasn't good enough and nothing to be proud of about losing a home final.
Don't like it? Get better.

But if he called the players an embarrassment as reported. No matter what spin he or supporters put on it, its piss poorI think Kochie's comments were taken out of context.
Any old audio clip not in context can be misconstrued.
He would have had supporters at him from after the final siren demanding to know why we went in with such an inexperienced team and why aren't we winning Premierships.
His comments were that we don't know whether the young team was a good idea or a bad idea, and he is correct.
We actually will never know whether Jacko would have been the answer.
He also said that the players at PAFC need to be here with the one driving force: to win a Premiership.
I don't have much issue with his comments. They were directed at hurting Port supporters after a devastating loss and they would not have been satisfied with the usual spin.
The media love to embellish any story to build up negativity and get exposure for their articles.
He didn't use that term. Where did you get that idea. I've watched the full clip posted on one of the Facebook groups. But if he called the players an embarrassment as reported. No matter what spin he or supporters put on it, its piss poor
