I love a good flying the flag and im pretty sure most teams would have the rule that they split any fines over the 22 players as you gotta do what you gotta do

I think most would agree that if it was the first minor offence they'd have chucked a fine his way but teetering on the edge of the "3rd fine = out/no brownlow" they let it slide which makes a mockery of having 3 strikes.
Its round 9, Gray missed 2 weeks with injury yet he's at 2 (cough 3) offences already.
It was pretty minor and I think the old rule of free +50 was better. LeCras wouldn't have missed then.

Yeh i think automatic 50 and call it a professional foul. As trips go it wasnt on a dustin fletcher level

The 'looks better for Jonas that Gaff is up & about' is very annoying. That shouldn't come into the equation IMO. That belt to the back of the head could've ended Gaff's season, or worse. It's not like Jonas whacked him just hard enough to put him out of the game, he wouldn't know.

I actually reckon he might get a longer suspension than expected. I think that they'll want to make an example of this kind of play and this no name muppet is the perfect player to do it with. He doesn't have the profile of the likes of Rance and Hodge so they don't have to worry about the backlash of suspending a big name player. I reckon 8 weeks.

Here is what I think he should get 8-9 weeks

He could have killed gaff ....Do we wait for a PHIL Hughes scenerio ....whacks to the back of the head can kill people ...one punch deaths happen

I also think fine him 20,000 for starting a melee ....I'm deadly serious. Why should layers be fined ?

If Jonas doesn't hit gaff there is no melee ....Fine him

Then come Tuesday get their lawyer to say anything at the tribunal to get a lesser sentence.

Got the feeling the Port players went through the motions and basically hung around to make sure Jonas didn't get injured.
