Doesn't matter whether he is inside or outside the list. The maximum combination of rookies and vets is 6 players.

Won't save us any money either, because it doesn't matter if we have 37 on the primary list PLUS Campbell or 38 on the primary list INCLUDING Campbell. It fulfills the requirment of 38 in both cases.

My understanding although I could be wrong Weaver was that Clubs this year could no longer go short on their senior list of 38. So if Cambo was to remain outside of the 38 we would need to pick up 2 players in the PSD (hence more money spent on a extra senior player and a max. of 5 rookies). If he was moved inside the 38 then we would have up to 6 rookie spots available and we would only need to pick up 1 player in the PSD. In either case Cambo would still be classed as a vet whether inside the 38 of out so only half of his salary would count towards the salary cap.

No this is not the case.

You have to have 38 players which is made up of normal players and veterans combined. We have 37 at the moment so must take one more. That would take us to a primary list of 37 + 1 veteran = 38.

It doesn't matter whether Campbell is a veteran inside or outside the primary list, you can still only have a maximum of 6 players combined between the vets list and rookie list.

So we will take one PSD pick and pass on the 2nd. Going one player short will save us somewhere between $50k and $200k dollars.

We then are entitled to 5 rookie list spots, minus Foley, so 4 picks. We will probably not use all the picks, maybe 2 or 3. That will save us another $50k or so.

If we actually had cash to spend we could have had 38 players, plus 2 veterans (Richo and Campbell), plus 4 rookies. A grand total of 44 bodies to work with. Instead we will go with 40-41.
