Need to sack the coach, get an offense where their is player and ball movement.

That is against the concept of the USA born and bred Megastar.

IQ guys are a waste with Lebron & Wade on the court. The other guys either shoot, defend or rebound in an above average capacity for maximum benefit.

Jackson used the triangle offense which involves ball and player movement which was successful with Bryant and Jordan.
Kobe and Jordan still played selfish ball when they felt like it.

As for my thread, looks like my prediction is wrong. Barring a miracle the big three are done. Would take some great moves to maintain the big three and bring in enough depth next season to get them another title.

You are right about MJ and Kobe taking over when needed. But the ball movement through the rest of the game meant they had the energy to do it when needed.

great thing about the triangle O was as alluded to ball movement.

from a laker POV, the triangle was perfect. feed shaq, let the defence act, and all pieces on the floor react to different spots. it allowed and opened space for shooters like horry, fox, fisher to shoot with time and space. for non shooters like horace grant, he could cut with ease. for kobe, it allowed space to operate and penetrate. 1-2 options could afford to conserve energy for clutch moments.

I guess a question you can ask is: with two championships in four consecutive finals series, would you consider this whole Miami group successful?

I would say yes I guess, but I guess it depends on what you were expecting, and what you are comparing it to.

Good point. For the players they have, I'd say 2 out of 4 maybe not. But at the end of the day, 2 b2b titles is still a great success. But It's kind of like having Messi and Ronaldo in the same team. 2 out of 4 titles with star players you'd want more.

what pisses me off about LBJ is he had to join forces with Wade and Bosh to get his ring. Put a prime Kobe with those guys:confused:or KD etc. Who wouldnt win a ring?

Kobe and Jordan wouldn't win shit with Anderson Varejeo

With Wade in a wheelchair and Bosh weak as ...

I see this Heat team maybe making the finals due to such a poor eastern conference.. but theres about 4 teams in the west who would handle the heat in a finals series.

So my answer is no rings. Unless they add a big man and a Wade replacement.

Lebron needs a point guard he should not have to create plays and score aswell

Heat were so slow with the ball in hand they need some pace and a defensive minded big man

I think the point gaurd situation would've come as abit of a shock, I know Chalmers isn't a stand out but he has been a solid contributor for parts of his career, he went totally AWOL this series and didn't give his team mates and support at all

I actually think Lebron would play his best with a very good point guard someone that can shoot and pass

CP3
D Williams
Rose

I dont think we will ever see it though

Yeah but then your taking away one of his biggest strengths, his passing and creating open shots

It wasn't his fault this series that everyone turned to duds, it has worked pretty well for the past 2 seasons

I think the best fit is a Point Guard that can potentially draw players with a double team. But more so a smart passing point guard. I can't see Derrick Rose and LeBron being a good fit.

The best point guard LeBron has had, is Mo Williams.

Yeah and we all know how bad he was

Steve Nash to just create play instead of LBJ doing it all would be huge even though his past it

Would love to see LBJ play the next couple of years with a B grade Centre and an A grade PG

lebron dont need a PG. he can play it. what he needs is an adequate, above avg PG shooter.

we (lakers) had ron harper, d-fisher. both excellent defenders and good shooters.

chalmers is an average PG. perhaps playing with lebron inflated his ego and he became a hanger-on. it probably hurt his career development wise given lebron has the ball in his hands so often.

But we all saw how that was with his days at Cleveland. Yes he has a good basketball IQ and good passing ability and can, but if LeBron was able to create offense from off the ball, he could be more deadly.
