How much longer has Bucks got

How many more season do you think that Bucks has left. I know that we have started to rest him more in games (and he won the brownlow go figure) but he now fits into the veterans list. Can he do a Michael Tuck? When he does go who will fill his shoes both as captain and in the midfield? It will be a sad day for the club when he does go and I hope they give him the chance to go out when he would like and not push him out, he deserves much more than that.

He will start to spend more time on the hff over the next couple of years which will extend his shelf life to at least 3 years. Only worry is those recurring soft tissue injuries.

The other reason he might go sooner is that he will be satisfied with a Charlie, 2 Norm Smiths and a premiership medal by the end of next season!

as long as Buckley keeps getting 75% of the soft ball in the back half he has years left in him.

Browndog you are a very funny man. Obvously you must not see Bucks play much either that or you know nothing about football.

If Malthouse moves him to a half back flank this year he could play good football for another 3 years I think.

But he wont get better just gradually worse so dont expect the Buckley of this year over the next 2 .

i tend to disagree I think that this year he has become more consistant and less dominant if that makes sense. He had a lot of support which enabled him to become available to plug gaps and move around. Lets not forge that he still covered 19.3km in round 1.

The real risk is that wear and tear injuries start to set in. Assuming these remain manageble I would think he would go forward rather than back as he is very good over-head and will be able to run his opponent ragged.

His goal kicking has improved alot.

He can't play that long!!

I reckon he has maybe 3-4 years left in him, with probably next year being his last really good year and after that he'll have a lesser influence.
