How do you refer/link to another thread? That is if I am posting a comment to a thread and I want to refer/point the reader to a thread that was posted say several weeks or months ago how is that done?

I assume you just copy and paste the url of the relevant (old) thread into the new thread, unless you mean something else.

Copy the URL from your browser's address box.
Start your new post and click this icon:
Paste the URL in the pop-up box that appears.
Click OK.
