Lol. If I played in the Eagles’ back line I’d probably average 20 possessions a game. Stat-wise the ball spent more time down there than anywhere else all season. Plus their average stats this season were almost identical, with Jayden about 5% better in the categories he has him ‘comfortably’ covered.

You even said yourself that West Coast’s injuries aren’t just down to bad luck. Gifting lucrative contracts to broken down ageing players is a pretty risky strategy, especially when your coach and S&C department allowed fitness standards to drop to such a low level that players have regularly broken down trying to get back to acceptable AFL fitness levels.

We used to have bad luck with injuries. Terrible luck in fact.
Then we fired the S&C bloke and we’ve been a lot less unlucky since.
