What a round! Brisbane going down to the Saints, Adelaide losing to an out-of-form Hawks, the Eagles and the Bulldogs drawing and Jason McCartney and his Roos edging out Richmond by 3.
Looking at the round so far, it's quite possible a few tipsters could be on 1/7. 4/7 is pretty good. I noticed that Bruce Eva was the only tipster in the AFL Record who went for St Kilda.
What has everyone done with their tips so far?

4/7 for me and Im pretty happy at that. (5/7 for those who count the draw as a win, don't understand that).

Most people would have tipped Brisbane and Adelaide so to lose a tip on those games was neither here nor there, the Brisbane game helped Port out a little bit and its always good to see Adelaide get a loss on the board. Having Port win and Adelaide lose is like a double win really! :D

Then you have the Western Bulldogs and West Coast draw, well done to those who picked it. West Coast having a draw was a win to Port so we now sit second, just have to beat the Saints next week and see Brisbane and West Coast belt the hell out of each other next round.

Who knows, if the results run the right way next week Port Adelaide could be top but I think Brisbane will be too strong at the Gabba.

Ive got 3 1/2 (Kangaroos, Port, Geelong and the draw). Missed out on Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon.
I've tipped Melbourne for tomorrow.

ive got 4/7 sydney, port adelaide, geelong, west coast. ive been doing so well this season - 60 tips before the round started(See my tips on Match Previews and Reviews forum called 'Yazza's AFL Tips'). i cant believe im doing so badly this week although i no sum1 hoos on 1(west coast).

I'd be on 7/7 if...

Richmond had scored 4 more points
Adelaide had scored 6 more points
Brisbane had scored 6 more points
West Coast had scored 1 more point

So that's four wrong all by less than a goal :(

3/7 so far - as I already have scored 2/8 twice this year, this is a pretty good result.

4 out of 7 so far, i didn't get wins by Hawthorn, St Kilda, and that draw, which i will not count as 1/2 a win because i didn't correctly tip the result - a draw. Not including the results of round 11, i am on 50 so far.

I posted on this very issue some weeks back, and do you think that the AFL have yet acted on my concerns ?! Of course not.

While they whittle away the boardroom hours piffling over insignificant matters like equalization, 50 billion dollar TV rights, where the finals will be played, and keeping the clubs that are lowest on the food chain from imploding on themselves, thereal matter that affects us rank and file footy supporters is simply not being addressed.

i.e. What do we do to our office/school/internet footy tipping comp in the event of a draw ?!?

- Award a point to everybody?

- Make the punters have to actually tip the draw to get the point ? (They're gonna need more room on the fixture for that little baby!!)

- Award half a point !? (Very messy until you get the second draw of the season)

Well Mr Jackson ... what's it gonna be then?

Give us some leadership on the matter before you hand over the reins, let's have this mess cleared up.

It should be that you have to tip a draw to get the point. At the end of the day, you did not tip the result, so you shouldn't get points for it. However i know some footytipping only has win or loss, so if a draw happens then give points to everyone.

That's hard luck, Dave, but that's what happens whenever someone does this, in the spirit of taking a chance. :(

My tipping, at the moment, is shocking, just as it has been up-and-down all season.

Got North Melbourne right on Friday night (and what a fantastic game that was, by the way!), lost all three on Saturday, and won with Geelong and Port Adelaide yesterday. Need Collingwood to win today, to break even for the long weekend.

3/7, so far.
