To all Crow supporters who just have to have a competition to add to the season.
This is just an early advice to let everyone know that Crows Goalkicking Game will be back in 2024. As our last game last year didn't produce a clear winner I haven't assigned a winners name to the competition.
New to this year is the reintroduction of a badge. This badge will be a Crows Footy Boot
and our GAME winners during the season will receive one along with entering the Hall of Fame and earning the naming rights to the competition.
In the Rules I have tried to differentiate between a game of footy as opposed to how the competition is structured eg GAME1 ROUND2. Chances are we will play three GAMES during the season

NB: Participants enter the 'Broom Closet' when there is no outright winner and all remaining participants bomb at the same time.
RULES
Basic plot: We will start by playing GAME1. You have to pick an Adelaide goal kicker each week. If he kicks a goal you move on to the next round. If he doesn't you're out until the next GAME commences. You can't pick the same player twice during a GAME. Last person left wins and the GAME ends. We will have a new Hall of Famer, and GAME2 will start, which means we all get to go again.
Selections: You make your selections in this thread. Your selection must be in by the first bounce of our match. You can change your selection right up until the first bounce if you get a late vibe. Remember, if you pick someone twice during a GAME you're eliminated. As the weeks go by you will need to include all your selections during any GAME.
Late changes: If your selected player is named in the 22 but is a late withdrawal then you get whoever comes in for him. For clarity, a late change is any change that occurs after the Thursday night selection announcement, or Friday afternoon if it's a Sunday game. As we will be playing on Thursday night during round 4,8 and 13 a late change would be after the announcement of our team on Wednesday night. If there's more than one late change then I'll match up players alphabetically to work out who replaced who. If one change occurs on a Friday after teams are announced on Thursday, and a further change occurs on match day, we'll still apply the alphabetical rule. Alternatively, if you become aware of a change then you can simply change your selection prior to the commence of the game.
Forgetting: If you forget - bad luck! You're out until a fresh GAME starts.
Immunity Card: If your player kicks the first goal of the match (not just the Crows first goal) then you earn an Immunity Card. An Immunity Card can be used if your selected player fails to kick a goal or you selected a player for the second time during a game. It's like a Get Out of Jail Free card. If you forget to put a selection in one week but sneak through via an Immunity Card... then you will be allocated the Crows players with the lowest guernsey number who didn't kick a goal in that game. Just so that all players have made an equal number of selections.
Remember While it all commences with Opening Round on the 7th March with four matches our first game will be in Round 1 on Saturday 16th March against the Suns.
