Tommorrow morning at 9am....anyone here going to ring in and give it to this tosser??

In my opinion, he is equally to blame as Liberatore.
I don't see why I can't ring up and have a spaz... Oh wait, i'll probably sleep it:).

If I remember, i'll have a go at the bugger:p. I respect him as a journo, but I don't like the way he goes about things.

say what???

Too kind Eddie, too kind. The man is a parasite, a leach. Nothing more than what would be considered the paparazzi. Should be writing for New Idea, taking photos of Bec Hewitt buying a pair of sneakers.

Parasite, leach, cockroach, you name it, he is it. But despite me being against his methods of going about stories, he get's the job done.

I feel dirty:(.

All Hutchy did was ask the questions. Fair enough you guys hate libba for what he said but to blame Hutchy is pathetic.

Bullcrap. He did not just sit there asking questions. This was planned and telegraphed by him so he can get his big push on TFS. He approached Libba hoping for a cheap tabloid story, then turned seemingly innocent comments about list management into proof of tanking. This is clear to everyone that actually paid attention to what was being said. All that was missing was the over-dramatic villain music in the background.

Slow news week- no matches on this weekend so Hutchy has to try creating some controversy. What evidence does Hutchy and Libba have of tanking?? "No-one said anything, but I felt it" were Libbas hard-hitting words. And Hutchy thinks he's done a great job uncovering a huge story-give me a break!

On the SEN topic, did anyone hear Mark Doran today? He was fantastic!
He completely played down the situation, ripped through KB who was crapping on about a Royal Comission and questioned Libba's credibility. It was nice to hear some sense and level headedness about all this.
Top stuff :thumbsu:

I'll admit that I'm surprised by the number of those in the media coming to our defence on this. It's like they're only 'joking' when talking about us tanking normally, but now that someone's actually made the claim they recognise how serious it is and actually look at it on its merits (or lack thereof). Almost as though the joke has gone too far then.

Still the usual suspects (ie FatPrick) are as predictable as old Faithful.

a good question to ask:

how long had he (and libba) been sitting on this story.

if many months or not a straight answer put forward the proposition that this is pure tabuloid stuff and any defense of libbas that he is just doing the "right thing" melts away in comercial imperitive

go blues!

They were some of the most leading questions I think I have ever heard.
Lbba allowed himself to be strung along.

Haven't liked Hutchy since he followed Cousins to LA to report on what Cafe's Ben was going to.

Agree. He was certainly up and about.

Yeah Doran was great ..he really stuck up for the club ..and practically called Libba a pathetic little attention seeking whore .

Who is that stupid bitch on the same show ??? she sounded as thick as 3 planks .

Rippa Rita is ok. She's there on Fridays to help lighten things up but she walked into a genuine shitstorm today and was a bit offsided by it.

Libba interview:

-Happy to speak to the AFL
-Claimed that Hutchy didn't pay him
-Hutchy pressured him to talk
-Didn't think it was untowards against any individual at the club
-Have lunch with Brett Ratten quite often while they were assistent coach
-Wouldn't say anything different if he had his time again
-He didn't think it would make a big headline
-He initially not keen on doing it but Hutchy told him it was important to get it out, and he did so because he felt the tanking issue was a bugbear
-Carlton (Greg Swan) wanted to play young players. Libba didn't believe that the younger players shouldn't have had a shot and older players should've played
-Travis Johnson wasn't mentioned much during the Melbourne game to Libba fuzzy recollection, Libba isn't sure how effective his disposal was but he's a good player so he would've manned him up.
-He can't recall much discussions about selection towards the end of the year
-He believes he's seen as a honest person.
-He's believes that there's a flaw in the system that needs to be corrected.

clearly you dont have your head around the whole situation... wouldnt expect you too being a collingwood supporter...

hutchy pressured him into the interview... did you notice how he glossed over the part of the FS interview when Libba mentioned that Hutchy approached him... Or notice how much Libba emphasised that on radio this morning?

I wouldnt expect you to really analysis things after all being a collingwood supporter your all the same, blinkers on...

CHAIN OF THOUGHT:

"bad headling about Carlton"... (thought process)... attack attack attack, it all must be true, hutchy did the interview so it all must be true, good things said about carlton, huh i did hear that bit...

richmond & collingwood supporters are the prime instigators here, and at the end of the day I think they need to keep their hypocritical bullshit to themselves!

Read - Hutchy the smart arse took advantage of Libba the dim wit.
-Didn't think it was untowards against any individual at the club

No.......of course not......why would implicating that Ratten didn;t do all he could to win the Dees game be anything personal against Ratten?
I'm sure they'll have lunch this week some time.
Why would accusing a club of throwing games make a headline? It's not like they killed anyone? Again, Libba.......the dimwit.

-Travis Johnson wasn't mentioned much during the Melbourne game to Libba fuzzy recollection, Libba isn't sure how effective his disposal was but he's a good player so he would've manned him up.
Now we get an insight into why Libba got the sack. He was in the box, and knew that Johnstone had a heap of possession........but was not aware how effective that disposal was.

This morning did nothing to help Libba, and both seem to backpedal from Thursday night.
Thornton wasn't mentioned.

The crux of Libba's arguement seems to be that he feels not picking the best available 22, and going for some kids ahead of some older guys that won't be doing much this year........i.e. Austin over Saddo......or putting guys in for surgery when "if it was a final they would have played"..............Libba believes is tanking. Again........dimwit.

The AFL are going to be very swift in saying "no case to answer", otherwise they'll need to open the books on the selections for every side outside the 8 for the last 10 years and bring charges.

Who in their right mind can argue with that?

edit sorry didn't realize I was on the Carlton board.
As long as you are respectful you're more than welcome.

I must be the only one who thinks the priority system is fine. Why change it just because of the media and publiuc perception.

Hell if we changed things because of perception KB would be out of a job along with Carro, and Fatprick Smith would be on horse manure duties at Flemington.

Where would the Hawks and Saints be, or the Pies and Roos for that matter without access to the PP.
From basket cases to semi and prelim finals, and the Saints starting as second favourite.

Do you think Wallet will tank at the Tiges this year? If he does he'll be out of a job. Not many sides will access the PP in its current format, and if they do then they probably need it.

Bloody hell. Does someone want to post that in the relevant main board threads? I'm staying here and martialling from behind the lines at present. :D
