With Gaspar retiring next year and McGuane and Moore not developing as well as hoped would you consider the following trade. This would secure our back half for 6+ years. With the quality talls likely to be taken early in this years draft, a quality mid like proad or selwood will be available to us at pick 8 and a player like Houli at our second pick. Both of these guys granted two or so years could develope nicely to replace Tuck.

Would you consider
Richmond - Thornton and Polak
Carlton - Tuck and pick 58 (Richmond)
Freo - Pick 35 (Carlton) and Pick 42 (Richmond)

therefore
Carlton loose Thornton and pick 35 and get Tuck and pick 58.
Richmond loose Tuck and picks 42 and 58 and get Polak and Thornton.
Freo loose Polak and get picks 35 and 42.

great attempt it actually seems fair to all sides best hypothetical this year. WELL DONE!

Agree, good attempt. But l can tell you, Fremantle would feel hard done by and would be confident of getting something higher the pick 35.

They dont deserve it, but l think they will get better than that.

With Polak and Thornton also off the market, this would probably add some value to players like Kellaway, Moore and McGuane who we would otherwise struggle to offload and would be forced to delist for no return.

With Hawthorn, Carlton and Brisbane likely to strugle in their back halves they may be interested in Kellaway or maybe Kellaway and Moore for a fourth rounder (maybe?).

We could then also offer Ray Hall around. He has been loyal, but would struggle to get a game with the likes of Polak, Thornton, Thursfield and Gaspar occupying the key defensive possitions. I would be happy with a third rounder for him!

Maybe we could offer Daniel Jackson as a sweetner or maybe Brent Hartigan instead of pick 42. Or upgrade to pick 28 and 48 with them adding there 4th rounder 63.

Dont want Polak unless he said that he wants to come to Richmond and all but breaks the door down so he can get an opportunity, but his not so would probably be a waste of time, but that deal is fair to Richmond and Carlton, but Freo would never take that

this comment is laughable

your post was irrelavant

the comment is laughable purely because the poster should have left out the last 4 words. It should actually read, McGuane and Moore not developing!!!

and taking your reaction to it and adding it into the fray, i would suggest that that it is laughable that you think its laughable, since they have shown to be irrelevant, each time we have put our hope in their development to the test, by selecting them for senior duty. ;)
