I heard we sold 2,000 memberships yesterday. Not sure how accurate that news is, but it would be interesting to see how many members we have when the club closed for holidays

Don't look at me I renewed mine last week before the news about Cousins even came about. But think now that we got him we will probably have more members but if we didn't get him we would've lost members.

other clubs are fine, but the ones that see any kind of good news to the club or feel we might have some success then sign up. it is a disgrace and they should be ashamed. i imagine most of them are the ones that saw us get the spoon and drop out their membership, wait until we sign cuz and then sign up. they are probably the ones that boo when we lose or snap on terry/any of the players back when they perform badly.

anything to attract supporters, we dont have big membership drives or ask supporters to dig into there pockets so new signups have to come from somewhere.

I honestly think we have a very lame marketing department, geez we should have a big flashing sign on the corner of punt road throwing up player stats and team improvements, player of the week etc etc.

so if people want to sign up with cousins names or because cousins has joined great i say.

We have all become very excited with Cousins news, so perhaps these people decided now was a better time than ever to sign up, particularly if they were right there at the club watching him train

In this financial economic downturn, we'll take all the members we can get especially when we are $4 million in debt (don't quote me on that).

I for one are a first year member, but Tiggytrain who'll be happy to know that I signed up November 14. Just hope I get my son's & my member package by Xmas.

Says something about when I signed upto Big Footy, but I signed up as a Hawthorn member in 2000 when I was 14.

That type of thinking is so 70's, its a great thing for the club that so many people are happy to give the club their money.

You do realise these same people will jump off the bangwagon as soon as Benny has gone? You won't have them long, maybe only for a year.
