Well I guess it's always a possibility, with anyone moving anywhere, but who's to say I won't love it. :)

Umm, and what's wrong with the people in Melbourne anyway?

If you didn't want a defensive response you shouldn't have whinged about this WONDERFUL city some of us live in...

Capish? :)

Jacs, i don't think bagging the state was what got people off side, I think when you bagged the people as well, that's what upset them.

PHEW thank goodness I am not in Melbourne. :D

 i LOVE melbourne!!! when ever i go away, i love being able to come home to a city and home that i love. when the plane lands and you see the huge 'MELBOURNE' sign at the airport - im very thankful that i live in melbourne. :) *aaawww*

Unfortunately, I don't live in Melbourne (because of economic restraints), but the twice a year I go back there, from the minute the plane touches down, I am happy as. :D

Went to the Sunshine coast for a week once - that was enuff.

I got bored - simply heck all to do there, except sit on the beach.
Gold Coast has a bit more action, $hithouse nightlife tho.

Qld is great for a holiday, rivals anywhere in the world IMO.

But, its a totally different story when you live there. Ive lived between the GC and Melb since 95 roughly. While I loved it at first, novelty soon wears off.

I have lived in Europe as well. What I have learned is that Melbournians dont really appreciate enough what an awesome city it is.

For example little things like the grid that is the CBD, with really wide streets. Go do business in Sydney, negotiate their mess, or paris, or Milan - and you realise how well planned Melbourne is for a city of its size. Up there with NYC in that regard.

Ive been to heaps of cities in this world, and IMO Melbourne is the closest to being perfect IMO - its weather is its only downfall.

I hear ya. When I got back from Europe (holiday) I realised how much I took for granted down here, and that I love this city and never want to move :)

lol Well being a Melbourne person myself, I didn't mean to personally offend anyone :p just talking generally about the people I've encountered since I got back that's all. :)

It's a nice enough city, just not where I wanna be now.

You aren't talking about 'lurve' now are you?

How exciting!! Go on spill, spill!! We know you don't mean anything nasty really. :)

Was born here and lived here for about 17 of my 25 years, the other 8 were spent in the country with weekly trips to Melbourne, so I do know the place pretty well. ;)

LOL I definitely hate the cold too, always have. And every time I've left Melbourne before, I've missed it. Until now. So who knows. :)

Right on! It's much easier to stay warm in winter than it is to stay cool in summer.
