my idea is that north melbourne could set up a fund in memories of Gary Dhurkkay and all the north melbourne wristbands the club are selling for $2 dollars at the club would go to the Gary Dhurkkay fund which would help his wife and children.

You can, 3 for $6.00 at the Roo shop, my guess would be the money goes to the club, with the AFl getting their cut no doubt. They are Afl approved merchandise.

If the club had the money, no doubt it would be the first thing they would think of, but the for now we are just over the bankruptcy line and as good as this would be we cant afford. Unlike Freo who are flying with members and sponsorship.

It's a lovely thought Kanga babe. Straight from the heart. Even though Gary's career at North was relatively short it is clear he gave many people great memories and touched many people. It's lovely that he meant enough to you that you have thought of the wife and kids that now have to live without him and that you want to help. Good luck with it all.

The club can always recover the cost then split the profit.
e.g. say the cost is a dollar, sell them for 3 dollars with 1 dollar profit going to the club and the other dollar going to gary's family.

Had the pleasure of having a couple of beers with him a few years ago and he was one of the nicest people i've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
So sad, RIP Gary.

The band is done in a style where half is blue and half is white, on the white part, the word Kangaroos is written about 4 imes.

The club really should have cashed in on these wristbands by now, everyone you see on the street is wearing a wrist band for some reason or another yet hardly anyone knows the North ones are out there!

Firstly, Matt Harrington is in charge of alot of the marketing and publicity at North Melbourne, I actually collected my prize from Roo's radio from him on friday. Tim is the other guy, there are 2 Harrington's. Tim and Matt

Blue and white on the one wrist iosnt that appealing they should have looked at making a blue wristband along with a white wristband and you wear the two together. ALA the racism ones whereby black and whits bands are together.

You are right the racism bands are awesome. Great quality too. I am lucky enough to have one as our cousin came out from England 2 months ago, can you get them here yet? I know heaps of people that want them.
