So the moral of the story is to keep doing the things that are in my control to keep the club running the way it is and it will be fine off-field, while nothing can be done about any on-field struggles as they are outside our or anybody's control so will remain both in the too hard basket and the object of opposition derision, and don't expect any support or sympathy for such a struggle. That only comes from when your club is falling apart off-field for reasons within their control.

TL/DR: Expect nothing and you won't be disappointed.

OK I think I have expressed enough emotion for one season, we now return you to your regularly scheduled programming of Jovial Bob...

Serious question Bob, what do you suggest we do about ‘onfield struggles’? Change the sim or manipulate it to manufacture a win for clubs that haven’t won a premiership for a long time?

I’m genuinely confused by what you’re after here.

Have i told anyone I've had 3 premierships in the last 5 seasons, yes i have now I'm going.
Umm! You’re timing is impeccable 😂😂

If I had genuine solutions I'd be asking for them to be implemented.

The first half of solving a problem though is acknowledging both its existence and the effects it has. When GreyCrow shared a similar concern earlier in the season I reached out to him and said that I understood what he was going through, and offered some advice as to how I deal with the fallout of his concern. After my 13th loss in 15 games against the Dragons last Sunday I guess I reached a breaking point, and the melt started melting.

So what I was after is:

a) an acknowledgement of the issue - it may not affect many people but it affected me
b) a rational discussion on whether there's any way to resolve the issue - there may not be one but at least the issue would be discussed
c) someone to say "yeah that's a remarkably shit set of results, I understand how you're feeling and I'm sorry to hear you feel that way". Best I got was "don't get upset about something that's made up"

I wanted to be heard. All good now though, I've learned a valuable lesson.

Demons are 2-9 so far this season and over my career I've got less than a 43% win rate

I get it, its frustrating and disappointing and annoying

I've got losing record against 9/12 teams currently

On a long enough timeline it should kind of even out but its never going to be actually even I don't think

looking at the top 10 all time games played and only 4 of them are above 50%, premierships range from 3-6 and that 6 is iDon bloody bombers hey

Of course people could chase success at a new club but just last season we saw someone lose to the club they'd just left in the grand final

the sim is cruel but I don't think its malicious

you've been incredibly unlucky though I don't think anyone could argue otherwise

I'll be my drunken seriuos conspiracy theorist self now.

Tonga Bob , you are whinging about a truly random SIM.

But your happy to get all the awards that have been so biased in this league forever.

All Sweet F.A. is the biggest joke in this whole place. Nothing but mates awarding mates.

I'd worry about cleaning that mess up first

It's true that I've received some individual accolades what are at least partly determined by sim results. There are others that have nothing to do with the sim, which I value more.

I'd give them all back for a Warriors premiership though.

Tonga Bob have you considered dropping yourself and other demoralised Coney Islanders so they are available to play the SPAM FL?

A QOOTY competition where Coney Island Prospects are the reigning premiers. :trophy:

Just being matter of fact (not critical) do your team selections in key positions take into consideration player form? Specifically engaged players in set positions that are being beaten in their position in a run of weeks. A lot of captains keep these players in those key positions (mids & FF esp) as they contribute a lot in match threads. Just some food for thought and not specific to the Wazzas.

Little from column A & little from column B. I did not though that last game 11 of the 18 players who started on field spent time on the bench so that didn't help.

First this

core group of Warriors decided to go out and help other clubs knowing they had a greater chance of success then we would be in some serious personnel issues. We've had the likes of zackah pantskyle & Wosh do this in previous seasons

Just for the record I didn’t leave the Warriors because I wanted a Premiership or to help another club. Not. At. All. The. Reason.
If people are moving for Premierships good luck to them tho I think most people leave because they want to be refreshed, or something/someone within the club drove them away and made it untenable or unattractive to stay…

Clubs struggling, some very badly for seasons on end, has been part and parcel of this place since I’ve been here 18 seasons and yet none have folded.

I absolutely left for success.
