I went to the 'G today expecting a 10+ goal thumping. I was frustrated throughout the day, but went home witnessing an amazingly exciting game of footy. You gotta love those 1 point classics. Especially with an ending like this one, right on the last line of defence. (Cheers Daisy, cheers Steele)

Anyway, I wasn't happy, whatsoever, after 5pm, and I stayed gloomy until I jumped on BigFooty, and had a read through the main board about us going all the way. From page 17 through to like page 25, it is full of opposition supporters being absolute sooks, blaming umpires, trying to put us down.

It all made me smile. Why? Because it made me realise this win today hurt them even more than it hurt us. We got the 4 points, we had consolation, they didn't. They wanted us to lose. We didn't. So be sure to jump in, don't bite the bait, just give it to them. Make them realise we're sitting at the end of round 2 with a perfect record of 2-0, and thats all that matters.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was working/listening to the radio and was one frustrated monkey today.

So... we won the game and lost some security. Some players got found out and some can still hold their heads high. Guess it's better to find this out with the luxury of a win.

While I type this, it's 68 to 8 St Kilda vs Roos, so I'm resigned to a comfortable loss next week UNLESS some serious attitude changes happen in 8 days time.

Just bringing up something a mate said to me...

He had a theory that because Morris was out with a virus last week, a few of the other WB players weren't 100% either. This is why the dogs didn't play that well against us.

During that game, some of our boys caught the virus off those players. As we know, O'Bree was a late withdrawl today and maybe some other players were a bit sick as well, which explains our hopeless performance.

I know it's highly unlikely this is the case, but it would make some sense.

Not really much to do with this thread, but it is about the game so thought I'd mention it.

^^^didn't want to hear about the virus stuff last week so don't plan on using it this week.
I was frustrated during the game but as I walked away from the G I was just relieved we got the four points. as you say we are 2-0 and thats the main thing. I expect that to be one of our worse displays of the year and we came away with the win.

I would really hope that if half the side have pneumonia, that nothing is said period.
We don't need to make excuses. If players were sick we should have given kids a run.

I doubt there was a flu epidemic but it's more important that we keep it in house than make excuses.
