Some of the younger guys and girls might not like this.
And maybe it will give them some insight into how things have changed.

I remember when every game was on a Saturday at 2:15, and no matter what, everyone in the family had their own record.

And on the way home you'd play this.

I remember when the west gate had tolls and dad used to avoid them on the way to waverley by going through Footscray.

Holy **** that was a long trip.
Only on the night games at waverley in the preseason did he accept he had to pay the tolls.

I can also remember when McDonalds in Belmont had opened and it was the only one in Geelong and I met Ronald.

*ok, slight sidetrack there*

I remember old Beau riding the pushy down Mooro in 63 with his Trevally rods painted blue and white heading for Yarra St Pier.Sadly both gone.

I remember being poised on the fence waiting for that final siren so I could take a flying leap onto the ground and be one of the first to pat my favourite players on the back.

They were bloody big bastards once you got on the ground next to them... even Paul Sarah dwarfed me. :)
I remember watching Paul Sarah in the U19's still one of my all time favs. Lol

argh the number 13, not that I remember;)

This could get really tragic......

I remember they used to sell chicko rolls.

I remember the long drive from Geelong to Arden Street, or worse still, Glenferrie Oval, and I used to feel sorry for people who actually had to live in these gross suburbs in Melbourne with traffic everywhere. Geelong back then was like Pleasantville.

I remember the smell of liniment all over the players as they ran out of the race that we STOOD next to for the whole 4 hours.
