Do you really think Thorpe is going to be around for our pick? I highly doubt it. I'm not to sure if we really need Luenburger as well. i think our ruck stocks are alrite at the moment. maybe next years draft. Becuase if we draft Luenburger it really shows theres doubt on Wests ability. Also i owuld add to that list Hislop. But i mnot to sure if he will be worth that higher draft pick. Also i don't think Prismall is worth a second round either. If Bachir Houli is around for our second pick i wouldnt mind him. Although it really depends on what we pick up with our first pick.

Realistically:

1st round - PROUD! Perfect fit with our needs - would be an ideal complement to our existing midfield. Otherwise Jetta, Collard, Leuenberger are all options.

2nd round - Petterd, Connors or Sheringham. Prismall is not worth it - we are only talking about him because we have his brother. Could look at Everitt, Reid or N Brown if we want a key defender.

3rd round - Jumpin' Junior!

4th round - I reckon Djerkurra would be great late pick - small but very quick, evasive and with good skills, sounds like Jetta but much cheaper - or depending on other picks and trades we could look for a project ruckman like Tippett or Renouf.

Would love Gibbs, Hansen, Gumby, Thorp but all will definitely be gone. Would not be happy with Selwood - serious injury cloud and even if fit we already have too many of his type. We need more speed!

We need speed, guys like Wojak who can break packs and tackles with their speed. We have guys like Kelly, Bartel, Ling who get tackled then have to handball. Wojak just explodes through them with leg speed, pretty much like what the NRL guys do.

Obviously we are sorted for the third round, would love to see a good (big body) ruck, some quicker 6ft utilities. Lets continue the Corey tradition and bring in some guys like them, just a little quicker off the mark. :thumbsu:

First round - Jetta or Proud (if Jetta gone)

Second round - Petterd, Houli or Grant Weeks (big bodied midfielder who can push forward)

Third round - "the big boy"

Third Round (traded) - Leigh Adams (if available), Sheringham, Boak - reckon one of those two will slip down

We don't need Weeks. He looks like another of those in between forwards that we've had plenty of (and still do - Gardiner, Mackie, S Johnson, Owen, even Grima and Kingsley). Not really KPs, and not really small forwards.

Pretty much agree with the rest.

Would certainly prefer Petterd, but was impressed with Weeks's attack on the footy and aggression. Unfortunately I reckon Petterd may be gone by our second pick.

Lets face it we really will not have a solid idea of who we may pick until our final position is determined but I think our first pick may end up being influenced by the draft camp results.
If Proud or Selwood etc prove to be quicker than average they will probably be high on our list.Selwood seems to be the natural football most like to have in their side , if he shows pace , lock him in.
If Leunberger shows a huge leap etc he would also have to be considered. Jetta as first pick would add some magic to our list but at his height he should be magic. Then again, one would think he would be at least as good as Marc Murphy.
Sellar seems to have lost a bit interest on this board but I'd be suprised if he got to us.Some have compared him to Ottens but he seems more like a very tall mid, like Mooney on the ball. Drfat camp results for sprints will be very interesting to many , a tall player with pace is always usefull , look at Griffen

Really , trying to pick who we get after that is like trying to pick lotto number.Im sure Welles will grab a handy group , picking the best out of the overlooked players. Moss, O'Brian , Adams ,Eddy, Delphine , Ried , Hurley , Djerrkura , Anderson, Hisslop etc will get considered I'm sure

Djerrkura is an exciting player...and well developed physically compared to other aboriginal players who tend to be skinnier.
