Ibbo lets play Ibbo all week is all we have heard lets play ibbo.
Can someone tell me if he wants to actually play looks disinterested at best. No urgency at all but he is young so that is ok.
So far Palmer is the only worthy inclusion.

praps he's been watching peake, crowley and mundy and he thinks a half arsed effort is enough, if they don't sharpen up we're in trouble here.

He definetly stepped it up in the 3rd. Good Stuff. As did everybody else.
I thought the ump was going to pay in the back on that run down.
The free against hodge was pathetic Ibbo did well to get a hand on the ball.

Watching the game on TV sucks!!

Ibbo has rebounded well and is playing pretty well! Improvement can be seen the longer the game goes. Sure beats the old guys putting in the same poor performances week in, week out!

How beautiful was that moment from the half backline? Ibbo to Palmer to Mayne to Pav. Poetry in motion.

i thought ibbo looked a little lost out there... didnt really see his pace other than his great tacke... i actually thought he was pretty lucky not to get in the back paid against him

palmer looked really good. Couldnt tell that it was his first game and i dont really recall him missing any targets

Im sorry Ibbo's last qutr let his good 3rd qutr down he may be quick but he needs to quicken his thinking skills.
He deserves to stay tho and see what he's like next week.

Ibbo strikes me as not being a particularly confident kid - the opposite of Palmer.

Give him at least a few games in a row so he starts to feel like he belongs and I'm tipping we'll see a big improvement.

Although slightly dissapointed in his performance, it was his second game. He seems to have a good footy brain he just has to stop thinking too much and actually follow his instincts. Has good skills when he has time to use them. Will be great next week if we play him. Although I'm thinking a masten vs palmer derby duel would be a highlight.

A very mixed effort. The speed of the game and his slow thinking showed him up a little. I'm not sure hes quite there yet, the derby might not be the game for him to play.

Hes got the skills and probably deserves a few more games but not overly impressed.

Agree with Freo Shark on Ibbo. From what I saw he kept passing on the 1st option.

You have to remember that Ibbo didn't play at all last week and this would be his first serious game for the year.

He wasn't helped by the Ump's seemingly having it in for him. He was on the end of at least three bad decisions that would have affected his confidence.

Dont mean to be harsh on the poor kid but his intensity would of been too low if he was playing a WAFL game never mind a AFL game. A deer caught in the headlights today.

Palmer and Mayne were sublime though I thought. Mayne for a youngster has a great fitness base

That's the key. Pace and skills. Headland is the only experienced player that springs to mind with the combination of good pace and good skills.

i thought dessie was outstanding today. Dont know wtf he was thinking when he threw ladson to the ground tho.. surely he knew he didnt have the ball...

Ibbo could fire up some more, no argument there, howeve hopefully this game will spur him along so he'll do better next week.

Chopper Mayne :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
Palmer :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

We need the Borckinator to get fit and join them out there... not to mention Warnock as well....

This may be a tough season.... we may as well get the future players out there and gaining experience in well managed and measure does as much as we can.

Ibbotson was always a project player and today showed hes a year off. He shouldnt be playing ahead of a bloke like Drum I think.
