If Brendon Ah Chee ever hits you with a left hook

Probably best not to ask what you are doing with your right :p Drinking, yeah :D

On a serious note :) Brendon has a chance now to show his team and coaches he really wants this AFL gig. I hope he takes it with both hands and plays a ripper. The kid can play when he is fit and has belief in himself.

And then recruit his brother to the Port.

Has he slimmed down since 2016????
I mentioned that early in the pre season, I think he looked bulky last year compared to 2015 and that may have contributed to his form, pace may have been down carrying the extra kgs? SPP, Atley and Drew probably move our focus from him being our clearance best to something more natural form him.

Definitely! His form in the SANFL is indicative of a player who has made some big strides. I have always felt he looked a little undefined, muscle-wise, in legs and arms. He as trimmed down, and has to have worked his but off this pre-season. His arms & shoulders looked ripped, his legs muscled & defined, and his movement has sped up noticeably!

Well done to the young fella, he knew he was in the cross-hairs this season, so he has really given it his all! He had a ripper game, made a real impact, and did enough to keep his spot. This could well be his turning point!

Better option than Young.

Skinnier than last year, hardly recognized him on the telly. A tiny bit more pace on tap makes a hell of a difference for some players. More damaging than Young has been this year. A couple of classic "Arch" handballs during the game too.

Those contract negotiations will be interesting

I'm just watching the replay and if you want to see something hilarious, watch Ah Chee get bumped hard to the ground by Steven May will 11:20 to go in the first. He gets whistled for a free kick against for below the knee contact on a Gold Coast player.

I've seen some dumb shit paid over the years, but seriously WTF!?!

He looks as he is very well liked by his team mates too, they were all extremely enthusiastic when he kicked all of his goals. Hope he gets a decent run of games.

Noticed that. They really mad a fuss of him after his goals, and also after some of his defensive efforts.

Bruce kept going on about "Archies" pace in the commentary comparing him to Amon. last couple of years the knock on Ah Chee was that he was a little slow. Is thepace really that different hard to tell from the TV coverage. Great game from him though and really hope that he makes it count now.

McLachlan was the dickhead who kept calling him Archie. Bruce would know better. For all the criticisms you could level at Bruce McAvaney, not doing his homework certainly isn't one of them.

And yet we continually get "Pollack"

Every time I heard "Archie" I kept thinking of Police Academy 2.

Arch has always been slowish as he has always been unfit IMO. His hands are as good as anyone's.
Yesterday he started as per usual, leaving possible possessions to his more credentialed teammates - as the game wore on he became more assertive and bloody good. Its all about confidence for Arch.

He's not a forward though IMO we'll find out against better oppo I guess, perhaps switching with SPP in the midfield and stints forward are the go for both.
He's got great quick hands in close Arch I wanna see him get a decent crack in the middle again.. make or break but I see it as a free up for young Powell-Pepper as well.

SPP was blowing up cardio wise and I was hoping hey would interchange with the Arch, where's the courage and planning?
