Spider. 3 All Australian Ruckmen in one team. I'd like to see that, however if we got Fev and Nath comes on, there is no point worrying about Ottens at Full Forward because we would not need him down there. Fev and Nath could cover the goal kicking load with ease, chappy, ablett & johnno could chip in with 1,2 or maybe 3 and we are set!!!

It'z amazing the turn around in support on this board for the cats to go after Fevola. During the year this board was full of anti fev sentiments and keep kent and henry talk. A loss in the finals can change everything can't it.

Fevola is am must if bartel goes, i don't know how anyone who has watched Geelong lose the last 2 yrs in finals due to there inabilty to kick a winning score would think otherwise, Fevola could lead up to and around the 50 and leave Ottens perched in the square, we have a window of opportunity the next few years and Fevola would help us no doubt

Yeah, they would realize this but at the same time, they would also understand that Geelong are not just going to let him go.. they will get something for him from another club.

i hope bartel stays but if we does want to leave fevola is i think the best option. next year if we have a good run with injuries, i dont see nathan ablett to be in our best 22 yet, as he is still young and quite raw, he did have a few good games this year but i prefer not to rush him in. however, i'm not sure about the salary cap situation and how we going to going to squezze another high $$ recruit(ottens being the other).

Sounds about right. Might be the reason that they signed him up midyear for another 3 years. So they can trade him. Not that he would leave anyway as he can refuse anything he wants.

You dont sign up players you desperately want to keep 2 months before the season is over.
The clubs opinion on him might have changed a little with some of his antics but cant see a Bartel/Fev swap being on the cards.

Kent stays and the rest are debateable really. Playfair after promising so much delivered so little. Charlie, McCarthy and Haynes could all be traded elsewhere.

Spider Everitt is in his twilight! If we can possibly get King and Ottens both fit at the same time no ruck division in the comp will come close, Kings last 4 games were exceptional he towelled Jeff White before he smashed him, dominated Dean Cox plus had the better of Ball and Jolly before he went off injured which is when we dropped the bundle. Fev for sure but Bartel will not leave!

I dfon't see how we are chockers full of forwards, our forwards r the reason we have lost finals games the last 2 years, Nathan has a long way to go and may play little footy next year, Fevola would be perfect for usand i feel we would have a real shot at it, i just don't trust our forwards at this stage and Fev would meake a big difference, new club, better supply, a more relaxed coach and club in general points to him reaching his full potential, geez we paid more for M.White and he was a dud at the time coming of a knee reco.
