Agree with your conclusions but feel the real difference between these 2 teams is as Ranter says, the back 6.

Daicos would be a good asset in the forward line right about now.

Millane would be great and we really need his raging bull approach. It's pretty hard to go past Daicos though. Don't forget he was a Copland winning midfielder before almost kicking 100 goals in 1990. Think about it for a moment. 100 goals from a pocket. Mathews almost did it and so did Daicos. That's two in over 100 years. Add that to Tarrant, Rocca and co. Need a lift in the middle or need to cover for Buckley? No problem. Send Peter 30 quality midfield possessions Daicos in there. Daicos was a better kick than Buckley and got as much of the ball as Buckley does. Buckley is more consistent but a lot of Daicos’ footy was as a half forward which lends itself to inconsistency. Not that he wasn’t pretty consistent anyway.
