Of course a priority pick will be a huge help but to actually come out and say if we win one more game you wont be a member where its been the most positive down at Punt Road this week than almost 2 years then you might aswell go jump on the hawks.

Agree... and nut, can you be sure that our draft pick players will be absolute superstars and win us a flag?

I think times have changed. When we were hopeless about 15 years ago I was desperate for any win we could get.

Now, you just have to plumb the depths if you aren't gonna make the 8. That is a reality. I don't care about losing 14 in a row. We did that under northey (across 2 seasons, I think). Finishing 9th all those times just crippled us and is a big part of why we are so bad now.

It is so important to get the inside running on the draft. We will get the first chance on the best players and have leverage in the PSD. Using that to get ahead is more important to me than finishing ahead of Hawthorn or Footscray.

I never thought i'd say it but I hope we finish last this year.

My tip would be to treat it like a wizard cup game. Play some kids, try some players in different positions, and maybe try some different coaching moves. Oh... Too late for that.

I agree 100%, i want us to be competitive and just lose, not smashed, less than 6 goal losses and we get 15th or 16th

My issue wasnt about us losing as i said i'd rather us get the priority pick, the issue i had was nut said he will not be a member if we win 1 more game. he has since clarified that up as a joke.

That's why the Collingwood loss was perfect. We fought back well twice, even led in the final minute, and basically pipped on the last kick.. Priority pick protected, team played brave footy.

My only desire to lose badly against Hawthorn is so they fall for the old - the fill in coach is getting improvement, lets give him the full time gig trap - Like Adelaide and we did with Gieshen.

At this point im just waiting for the new season. ive given up on this one to the point where a thrashing or good effort mean nothing to me. Feels like the worse season of them all although i know we have had others that statistically are as bad.

Bitter sweet senerio really.i put the blame fairly and squarely on the AFL who is more or less encouraging sides who,s season,s are shot to "make it harder for themselves to win a match".
the suggested NBA system is the way to go and sides can only qualify for a priority pick if they finish with less than 5.5 wins 2 seasons in a row.

why do you think we have played the likes of houlihan,promoted the likes of blumfield and the non selection of Marsh over the previous weeks where if we were still in the hunt he would have played.

suttle selections and non-selections makes it clear where our priorities[pardon the punt ] lie.

You dont understand what i meant to the question last time i posted. he/she said that if we win 1 more game for the season they wont become a member next year? I as well dont want us to win any more games for the season however if we do i will become a member once again no matter what happens. In 1990 I shook cans like many other people would off.
