Unfortunately, it looks like Fraser will play on Friday. Whenever the CFC website does write-ups like this (such as Blair's interviews/articles last week) it is usually a hint at what our squad will look like.

I wouldn't want to play Fraser just for the sake of it as far as im concerned. His last game was against a 'weak' side and look what happened. He should only play if he deserves to play and going by his performance in the VFL on the weekend he doesnt deserve to be picked.

Brown had big wraps on his game last week in the VFL and he's had a 25 H/O 2 goal game this week.
Anyone care to comment on Fraser's last two VFL games?

Might as well get his 200 Game out of the Way vs a Weak Side

I don't think the selection committee will see it that way. The club still seems to think he is best 22 when he is on-song, so I doubt they are in a hurry to rush him in just to get his 200th out of the way only to drop him again.

Are you talking about Leigh Brown in your first sentence PE? I'm a bit confused.

Fraser was decent to good last week, I thought he was average at best on the weekend. Bare in mind I'm a harsh judge of Fraser, I'm sure others probably saw it differently than me.
Certainly not a game worthy of a recall on the weekend.

I would be beyond shocked if Josh Fraser plays this week or next week against StKilda.

Barring a "shocker" from Leigh Brown against Port, I believe Leeroy has earned the right to tackle the Aints in 2 weeks, as he has played his role perfectly over the last few weeks.

Fraser has been "average" to "poor" at VFL level, well in terms of the output required for promotion he has been.

From the article, note the word potentially.

The round 15 contest against Port Adelaide could potentially see four Magpies and one senior coach reach impressive milestones in their respective careers.

Agree. That wasn't a harsh call on him at all. It's just reality.
