We really need to win this next game, If we do it could spawn a chain of wins due to confidence within the club. We played really well against Adelaide and our first half against the club coming 1st on the ladder was incredible.
These are the upcoming fixtures for us:

Carlton
Fremantle (Subiaco)
Brisbane (home)
Richmond
Collingwood

Does anyone else agree/disagree that we can win all these matches with a nice little boost of confidence from winning each previous game?

We wont win any of those games if our midfield dont step up a notch. I would like to think we have a chance against Carlton, but they tore our midfield a new one last time we played. This time their confidence is sky high and ours is relatively zero. Maybe if we could keep Fev quiet we are a chance. As for the others no chance judging by our form at the moment. Freo will be too strong for us up there, Richmond has a better midfield, Brisbane the same and add J Brown to the list. As for the pies, no where near their class atm.

In hindsight we have had a terrible draw. We have played every side in the top 8 except for Brisbane (most of any team) and are the only team not to have played any of Melbourne, West Coast or Fremantle.

Well, forgetting what is to come, this is still a huge game.

Having not won since round 3, a few of the guys in the side would have never sung the club song.

We've battled hard in the past few weeks and are apparently heading in the right direction.

Now that we have a winnable game, it's so important that we play to our maximum.

It will all depend on the mindset on Friday night though, and I couldn't predict the result either way, but to say that we have a good enough side to win this game.

Geez their 3 best players only threw everything but the kitchen sink at us in round 3 and they still got touched up by our forward line WITHOUT Lucas.

But ofcourse, Loss.

As for this thread, there is no important games for us.

Important games are for those with finals chances.

They just need to move the ball quickly and kick it to the forward targets. WCE's forward line isn't the best one going around so I'm guessing this game will be heavily influenced on Essendons midfield. If our midfield does well, WCE won't get too many shots on goal and gives us more of a chance to give it to Lloyd and Lucas more quickly. The team moved it well for the 1st half of the Hawks game, we just need to put that effort in for 4 quarters and we will win easily.

Our team needs the confidence to kick it to Lloyd and Lucas in the 1 on 1 situation more often. Players in our team don't have confidence in them but they should, because they can take big grabs. I hope the team doesn't chip the ball around then have no-one to go to like they did in the 2nd half of the Hawks game.

I think we have a good chance of winning this game. As others have said, a win on Friday night could set us up for the next month.

I expect West Coast to come out with guns blazing after what happened last week.

If Essendon can keep up with them like we have against Adelaide and Hawthorn in the first half, we will run over the top of them no problems.
