Great work by the Penske guys to get the car back out there to do those extra 12 laps or whatever it was. It looked like it was going to be the difference there for a while. Feel real bad for Will Power though. He's been up for three years. you have to wonder how many more shots he will have at it.

Houston, another road course from the Champ Car days is back on the calander next year. That will make Tony George turn in his self-dug grave no doubt.

If Will Power, a foreign-born road course specialist, does win the title, it will show that ridiculous open-wheel war for what it really was, a power grab that lead to an effective self-destruction of a sport.

In other news Conway has retired.
Hasn't he only retired from oval races ?
He quit just days before the race because his times on wednesdays test sssion were a few seconds off the pace,so Kiwi Wade Cunningham was rushed in to race.

A bit of a stuff up in the papers today saying Power has been leading going into the final race of the year for the last 3 years. If he were leading last year he would've been awarded the title as the race was cancelled after Dan Wheldon's death and no points were awarded.Dario went into the last race last year leading by 18pts.

Hes still a perenial choke artist.
Between him, Webber and Briscoe a few years ago its giving Aussies a bad name

NSWCROW's post of the of the intro in the Bathurst thread, reminded me of what I think is the best intro for any car race ever. The 1995 Indy 500. An absolute corker!

95 IMO even though Penske didnt qualify the last year that Indy really meant something. I still love it to this day, but it has lost something.

Travisty that Michael never won one, and the Mario only won it once.
