Enjoyed this series on the last gen, watched some of this on Twitch today and looks good. How much of the previous stories is tied into or referenced in this game?

there are some references but not too many to cole or the other games, its more of a fresh start to draw in the people who jumped ship or never played the other games.

I've been playing it most of today and its a solid 7/10 game imo.

It's Infamous just like the previous two versions, nothing more. All the problems with the first and second game are present in SS, such as the camera not being able to keep up with the action, controls still feel loose and floaty, repetitive missions, shallow side missions.... Everything you did or didn't like from the past games is here. Deslin the main character also seems like a carbon copy of Nathan Drake as well. The graphics are nice, but not as impressive as I would have thought. The cityscape looks great, but the city is dull and mostly lifeless and you can't even go into the buildings. If you like previous Infamous games its enjoyable enough, but not a AAA game and not a reason alone to buy a PS4.

Slightly repetitive but still enjoyable enough. Currently 57% through a Good play through, have cleared the entire first island and just cleared a district on the 2nd before i stopped.

Game is fairly easy and gets even easier once you get the neon power.

There are heaps of random citizens, same as the other Infamous games, but not till you clear the DUP out of the first area. when you get to the area that has the spaceneedle you see them. that is the 2nd part of the city you enter. i love it because of the DUP vans driving around and checkpoints so you cant just spend the whole time using powers to fly because you always get seen and get shot at.

Yeah I know there are citzens about, but the whole place just feels sterile and lifeless. I meant that in the sense that it just doesn't feel like a living, breathing city like the feel you get when you play GTA V.

Just finished a very enjoyable play through.

It wasn't a life changing experience, but it is a very lovely game.

Now time to activate my Far Cry 3/Arkham game style of completing each area to 100% clear the game before I try an expert run through as an arseh*le :P

Why do people want to go on buildings?
You haven't been able in the first 2 games and I don't see how it would add to the game.
Yeah, I really don't get the fascination. I said it with GTA V and it really applies even more now, but what the hell would you do inside a building in a game like this? It's all about the freedom, climbing and shooting. I don't know what going inside buildings would achieve at all.

GTA 5 had a budget of 280 million this would of been lucky to scrap 50 million, bit of perspective

Agree. This is a repetitive one and done return it to EB within 7 days and get your money back kind of game

I think he was referring to you missing the point. Kind of ironic you missed the point yet again.

I will agree that the City does feel empty though. 49% completed the game and nearly completed the whole of the first island and there's been a whole bunch of times when there's just been empty roads and no one walking the streets. The one thing I loved from the first two games was using circle to hid behind barriers or whatnot for cover, they removed it from this game! Why!? I wonder how short it is, it feels like I've barely played the game and I'm already 49% done.

Think they were saying on GAF it was 10-12 hours per play through. Going for plat should net you 20+ hours which is pretty reasonable.

Having no button to duck behind cover is the only thing annoying me so far. Pretty lame.

I have no time to look at stuff in the street. I'm too busy using neon powers to run fast everywhere.

I've 100% the game on normal as a hero. Reckon I played 10 ish hours

Will try and go through the evil play through now on expert.

I've got 58% of the trophies already, should be able to pick most of the rest next play through.
